Base Class: Barbarian
Saiyan warriors sometimes unlock a hidden inner power, a secret closely held by their race. The Path of the Saiyan Warrior allows a barbarian to transform their bodies during their rage, growing stronger and harnessing energy that pours forth from them.
Super Saiyan
Starting when you take this path at 3rd level, while raging, you can choose to enter a special transformation known as a Super Saiyan. This form grants several benefits:
• You can use your bonus action to gain a flying speed of 40ft during your turn, though you fall if you end your turn in the air.
• The first time on each of your turns that you hit with a weapon attack, you can deal additional force damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
When your rage ends, you gain one level of exhaustion if you don't already have 4 levels of exhaustion.
Saiyan Energy
Starting at 6th level, your Saiyan energy flows from your body like a flooding aura of light.
• While raging, you shed bright light for 10ft and dim light for an additional 20ft.
• Also while raging, if you use your Reckless Attack feature, you gain an extra attack with your Attack action.
Additionally, when you take a short rest, you can restore one level of exhaustion that you gained from exiting Super Saiyan. You can do this once before finishing a long rest.
Super Saiyan 2
Starting at 10th level, your mastery of your Super Saiyan form allows you to ignore the level of exhaustion gained by exiting the form. You also gain a permanent flying speed of 20ft; the bonus action you can take while raging simply adds 40ft to your base flying speed for the duration of your turn.
Also starting at 10th level, you gain the ability to surpass the limits of a Super Saiyan, entering a new form called Super Saiyan 2. This form takes an action to enter while you are already in Super Saiyan, and grants the following benefits:
- At the start of each of your subsequent turns, you regain a number of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
- Taking this action and entering this form casts the Haste spell on you, including for this turn. You must concentrate on this special version of the spell, which lasts until your rage ends, though you do not suffer the lethargic drawbacks until your rage ends if you do lose concentration, and you can regain the spell during your rage, as well as concentration on it, as an action by repeating the same concentration saving throw.
When your rage ends and you exit your Super Saiyan 2 form, you instantly gain two levels of exhaustion, to a maximum of 4 levels.
Super Saiyan 3
At 14th level, you have fully mastered Super Saiyan 2. Exiting the form only imposes a single level of exhaustion.
Also at 14th level, you have unlocked the ultimate form available to the Saiyan warrior: Super Saiyan 3. As an action while in Super Saiyan 2 - which can be the action granted by your Haste effect - you can enter Super Saiyan 3, which grants the following benefits in addition to those granted by previous forms:
- Your flying speed increases to 40ft.
- In this form, every attack you make, not just the first on your turn, deals additional force damage equal to your proficiency bonus equal to your proficiency bonus plus your Constitution modifier.
- When you take the Attack action, you can make one additional attack, and you can make yet another attack as a bonus action, albeit both of these are made at disadvantage. This special disadvantage cannot be negated by the advantage granted by Reckless Attack.
When your rage ends and you exit Super Saiyan 3, you instantly gain three levels of exhaustion, not exceeding 5 total levels of exhaustion. You can choose to make a Constitution check with a DC equal to 10 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier, only taking 2 levels of exhaustion on a success.
