Aerial Apparatus
Drawing on a seemingly limitless amount of ingenuity and a frightening lack of caution, Aviators create temporary flying machines, capable of propelling them at high speeds through the air. As a bonus action on your turn, you can activate your Aerial Apparatus. It grants you a flying speed equal to 10 plus 10 x your Intelligence modifier (Minimum of 20 feet). This movement speed cannot be changed.
The apparatus remains operational for 10 minutes, and you can activate your apparatus a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expendes uses when you finish a long rest.
While flying in this way, opportunity attacks made against you are made with disadvantage, and you can take the Dash action as a bonus action.
Whenever you take damage while flying on your apparatus, you must make a Dexterity saving throw to remain in control of your apparatus. The DC equals 8 plus half the damage you took. If you fail, you lose the flying speed granted by your apparatus until you spend a bonus action to reactivate it. Reactivation during the ability's duration doesn't consume a use of your apparatus.
Tool Proficiency
You gain proficiency with Glassblower's tools. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.
Speed Strike
When you Dash, you may make a melee attack against a creature within 5 feet of you as a part of that action. If it hits, that attack does an extra 1d6 damage, and the target cannot make opportunity attacks against you this turn.
Escape Velocity
You have advantage on Dexterity saving throws. While your apparatus is active, you can move up to half your speed as a reaction when an enemy misses you with an attack. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.
Soaring Supremacy
You have mastered your machine, feeling more at home in the sky than down on earth below. You gain the following benefits.
- The flying speed granted by your apparatus is increased by 20 feet.
- When you make a Dexterity saving throw while your apparatus is active, you may treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
- You can use your apparatus any number of times, instead of just equal to your proficiency bonus.
