Base Class: Rogue
You learned how to conjure an otherworldly entity in the form of an animal to your side. You and your companion work in tandem to accomplice your goals.
Double Trouble
Starting when you select this archetype at 3rd level, you can cast the Find Familiar spell as a ritual. You can spend two hours of a long rest training the familiar, granting the creature the following benefits:
- The familiar uses your proficiency bonus for any ability check it makes.
- The familiar gains proficiency in two skills.
- You can increase one ability score of the familiar by 2, and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different scores by 1, up to a maximum of 20.
- In combat, the familiar acts during your turn. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes is the Dodge action, unless you command it to take another action besides the Attack action.
Hoodwink
At 3rd level, you can teleport, magically swapping places with your familiar at a cost of an amount of movement equal to the amount of distance between you and your familiar. You can do this once per turn.
Clean Getaway
At 9th level, your familiar can take a bonus action on each of your turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
In addition, whenever your familiar is hit by an attack or forced to make a saving throw it can use its reaction to dismiss itself as described in the Find Familiar spell. When dismissed in this manner it is no longer effected by whatever triggered the saving throw and the attack is wasted as it loses its target.
Calling For Backup
Starting at 13th level, you can summon or dismiss your familiar as a Bonus Action.
In addition, you can improve an ability score of the familiar by 2. Also, choose one of your familiar's skill proficiencies. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check your familiar make that uses the chosen skill proficiency.
Accessory To Murder
At 17th level, when you make an attack that would benefit from your familiar's Help action, the attack gains the following benefits:
- You critically hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.
- You can treat a roll of 9 or lower on the d20 as a 10.
- If your attack kills the target, you gain advantage on your next ability check or saving throw.
