Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of the Infinite Self have realized that every possible arrangement of matter exists elsewhere in the multiverse, and have learned how to tap into the experiences of themselves from these other timelines. The most powerful of these monks have complete control over their position in the battlefield as they can put themselves in the shoes of their other selves, effectively teleporting, and can find other versions of themselves that are manipulating certain objects and have those same objects be manipulated in their own timeline.

Pooled Resources

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have learned how to tap into the experiences of your other selves, granting you the following benefits:

  • Your ki point maximum now equals your monk level + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 0)
  • As a bonus action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to extend your reach by 10 feet for until the end of your turn.
  • Whenever you finish a short or long rest, you can gain one skill or tool proficiency of your choice. You lose this proficiency when you use this feature to choose a different proficiency that you lack.

Displacement

When you reach 6th level, you can combine the use of your momentum and the position of your other selves to move around the battlefield with ease. Whenever an attack misses you, you can use your reaction to teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you.

We Are Many

At 11th level, you have become a master at using your other selves to your advantage. You can now spend up to 2 extra ki points on your turn to extend your reach by 5 extra feet per ki point expended (maximum extension of 20 feet). In addition, you can spend 2 ki point on your turn to teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet of you as an action. Immediately after you teleport using this ability, you can spend 1 ki additional point to make an unarmed strike with advantage as a bonus action. The unarmed strike does not have advantage if you spend ki points to extend its reach.

Your ki point maximum now equals your monk level + half your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 0)

Perfect Unity

At 17th level, you have become tuned to every frequency of the multiverse, channeling the powers of every single version of yourself all at once. As a bonus action on your turn, you can spend 5 ki points to achieve Perfect Unity for 1 minute. This effect ends early if you are knocked unconscious, die, or are otherwise incapable of thinking, or if you run out of ki points. While you have achieved Perfect Unity you gain the following benefits:

  • Your reach extends by 5 feet.
  • Attack rolls made against you have disadvantage.
  • You can use your We Are Many teleport as a bonus action.
  • The range for your Displacement ability is increased to 10 feet.
