Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Bones tend to deal with magics of the darker variety and often prefer to perform alone than in a close group. Moving from town to town in search of money, power, and perhaps even longevity. These Bards harness Necromantic powers more often than not to animate the dead and raise them from their graves. Using these undead as puppets during fights, or perhaps even disguising them as fellow members of your party. Bards of the College of Bones aren't just another Necromancer, but instead a very select group of individuals who have their own darker goals in mind.

Deathly Deceiver

When you join the College of Bones at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Deception skill. If you are already proficient in this skill, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with it.

Malignant Words

You learn the cantrip Vicious Mockery if you don't already know it and when a creature suffers the effects of this cantrip it takes an additional amount of necrotic damage equal to your Charisma modifier. Additionally, when you cast a spell that requires you to make an attack roll against a creature and hit, or cause a creature to make a saving throw you may expend one of your bardic inspiration dies. You may then roll it and deal necrotic damage against the creature equal to twice the number rolled.

Rousing Spirit

When you cast Animate Dead the undead that you animate may obtain the knowledge of a type of Musical Instrument that you know. The undead becomes proficient in playing this instrument. Once per long rest, if the caster commands it, this undead may have the spell Disguise Self casted on itself as this magic was infused into it when it was animated. While disguised the undead has a Charisma score of 10.

Additionally, you may have a telepathic bond with a single undead within 500 feet at any time. Through this bond you are able to sense its whereabouts at all times as well as, when you choose to do so as an action, you can see through this undeads eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own Senses. By looking through your undead in this way you may speak through it as if you were talking. However, as you're speaking through the creature, it uses its stats. The undead you have this bond with may be changed over the course of a minute of Concentration.

Acquisitor of Souls

Starting at 14th level, upon killing a creature that has a soul you may force it to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure you may either force the creatures soul to enter a container in your possession worth 500 gold or more, or you may consume the soul. If you choose to hold the creatures soul in a container only one soul may be in any one container worth 500 gold or more at a time. A captured soul may be consumed at a later point, or you may empower your spells with the soul. When casting a spell you may destroy the soul in the casting of the spell and cast the spell as if it was cast at two levels above the expended spell slots level. The level at which you can cast a spell through this method may never exceed that of the highest spell slot at which you can cast at your level. However, if you instead choose to consume a creature's soul you may either choose to extend your lifespan, or cause your body to regain its youthfulness by a number of years then rolled on your bardic inspiration die. Choosing to regain your youthfulness does not in actuallity extend your lifespan, but instead simply causes you to physically regress in age. The creature's soul is then destroyed. You may consume a creatures soul only once every 30 days. If the soul is released from the container it is free, but still dead.

You may attempt to take a creature's soul once per Long Rest.
