Base Class: Wizard
Most schools of wizardry focus their studies on the magic itself, separate from the caster. That makes sense really, people go to wizard schools to learn magic so it should be no surprise that most students want to learn about, well, magic. But that is not the only way to study magic - in fact, excluding the caster is a very reductive way of thinking, and you could lose out on a lot of opportunities by doing so. Enter the School of Consciousness - the study of how the mind interacts with magic. Detractors of the school cite the subjective nature of every spellcaster's experience with magic, and the general lack of ways to prove any assertion about consciousness, deriding the entire school as pseudoscience.
But we know better, don't we?
Unstoppable Train of Thought
Your understanding of how your mind interacts with magic affords you greater control over the weave. Starting from 2nd level, you may choose one spell that requires concentration from your spell list at the end of a long or short rest. Until you change the chosen spell, you automatically succeed on any ability check or saving throw made to maintain concentration on that particular spell. You may change the spell you chose at the end of a long or short rest, but only one spell at a time may benefit from this ability.
Subjective Experience with Magic
Starting from 2nd level, you may choose to use Wisdom as your spellcasting ability modifier instead of Intelligence. You can change which one you use at the end of a long or short rest.
Adaptable Mind
Starting from 2nd level, the money and time required to copy any spell into your spellbook is reduced by 20%.
Streamlined Casting
Your experience with casting spells allows you to rush the process if need be. Starting from 6th level, you may cast a spell with a cast time of up to 10 minutes in a single action. Alternatively, you may cast a spell with a cast time of 1 action using a bonus action. This ability can only be used once until it recharges at the end of a long or short rest. This ability is improved at 10th level.
Boundless Concentration
Your understanding of your own mind allows you to maintain a thought twice as long. Starting from 10th level, the maximum duration of any concentration spell you cast is doubled. Additionally, when you stop concentrating on a spell or your concentration is broken, roll a D20 and add your spellcasting ability modifier. If the result is 19 or greater, you regain the spell slot you used to cast the spell. This does not apply to spells cast from a spell slot of 9th level.
Streamlined Casting II
Starting from 10th level, your Streamlined Casting ability can reduce the casting time of a spell from up to 1 hour down to 1 action, or from 10 minutes down to 1 bonus action.
Multi-Track Mind
Starting from 14th level, you may concentrate on two spells at the same time. They may be the same spell or different spells, including the spell you chose using Unstoppable Train of Thought. If you are forced to make a concentration saving throw by receiving damage, you need to make separate saving throws for both spells.
