Monk
Base Class: Monk

Most followers of the Way of Fate are Monks who study the teachings of God's connected to fate and destiny such as Tymora or Kelemvor. Through your devote study you are able to understand the threads of fate that connect all living and unliving things in the universe, and can to an extent influence those threads.

Tools of Fate

3rd-level Way of Fate feature

You gain proficiency in the Insight and Perception skills. You gain proficiency with either Dice or Tarot Cards.

You also gain the Guidance, Resistance, and Spare the Dying cantrips.

Cards of Fate

You use playing cards to help read the Threads of Fate.

Dice of Fate

You use Dice to help you read the Threads of Fate.

Fate Pool

3rd-level Way of Fate feature

You use your ki to save favorable outcomes from the Threads of Fate. After a Short or Long rest you may roll a number of D20 equal to you WIS modifier (minimum  1) plus your Monk Level. You may spend 1 ki point for each D20 you wish to save as a Fate Roll in your Fate Pool.

You may use an additional ki point as a bonus action to use a Fate Roll from your Fate Pool instead of rolling for an attack, ability check, or saving throw.

All Fate Rolls in your Fate Pool will go away after a long rest.

At Level 6 you are able to interact with your Fate Pool even more by spending an Action to restore a used Fate Roll using a Ki point, or you may spend a bonus action to convert a Fate Roll into a Ki point.

Predestined Action

3rd-level Way of Fate feature

Your knowledge of the Threads of Fate help you guide others. As an action, you can spend 1 ki point to give a creature within 30 feet of you one of your Fate Rolls.

They may use that Fate Roll instead of rolling for an attack, skill check, or saving throw within the next 10 minutes.

Twist of Fate

6th-level Way of Fate feature

As a reaction to someone else's attack, ability check, or saving throw that you can see within 30 feet of you, you may spend a Ki Point to switch their roll with one from your Fate Pool.

Change the Odds

11th-level Way of Fate feature

As a bonus action, you can spend a Ki point to give someone you can see advantage or disadvantage on their next attack or ability check.

If they already had advantage or disadvantage they must add a third D20 to their roll and take the highest of the three if advantage or the lowest of the three if disadvantage.

Change Fate

17th-level Way of Fate feature

Your mastery of the Threads of Fate opens the door to Restore Destiny. You may spend 10 minutes to reroll any number of Fate Rolls in your Pool without spending any additional Ki.

Once you use this feature you can't use it again until after a Short rest.
