Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

There will always be those who perform the necessary evils in society, and no one knows that better than the Executioner, whose life’s work is to end the lives of the accused. Barbarians on the Path of the Executioner are intimately familiar with death, understanding its necessity and the importance of the duty they fulfill.

Bend the Knee

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can force your enemy into a position of disadvantage in battle. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack while you are raging, they must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. A creature that succeeds this saving throw is immune to this effect until the end of your next turn. In addition, while you hit a prone creature with a melee weapon attack, you deal additional damage equal to your Proficiency bonus. The DC for this save, and for any other Path of the Executioner feature, is 8 + your Proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier.

Familiar With Death

At 3rd level, you have grown accustomed to death. You have advantage on death saving throws.

Executioner's Mask

Beginning at 6th level, you have learned to be stoic in grim situations, strengthening your will and mental fortitude. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws.

Living Taboo

Beginning at 10th level, your presence is off-putting to others around you, as if the taboo of your duty is tangible. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points or kill it outright, all creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you who can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for one minute. If the creature ends its turn in a location where it does not have line of sight to you, the creature can make a Wisdom saving throw. On a successful save, the effect ends for that creature.

Executioner's Swing

Starting at 14th level, your strikes become exceedingly deadly to any creatures who are already weakened. When you hit a creature below their maximum hit points with a melee weapon attack while you are raging, the attack deals an extra 2d6 of damage.
