Base Class: Barbarian

Step 1: Equip Spiky Armor
Step 2: Gotta go fast.

Spiked Menace

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain the ability to use spiked armor (see the “Spiked Armor” sidebar) as a weapon.

While you are wearing spiked armor and are raging, you can use a bonus action to make one melee weapon attack with your armor spikes against a target within 5 feet of you. If the attack hits, the spikes deal 1d4 piercing damage. This changes as you reach certain levels in this class. This attacks damage becomes 1d6 at level 5, 1d8 at level 9, 1d10 at level 13, and 1d12 at level 17. You use your Strength modifier for the attack and damage rolls.

Additionally, when you use the Attack action to grapple a creature, the target takes piercing damage equal to your proficiency bonus if your grapple check succeeds.

Reckless Grappler

You can move your full movement speed while grappling a creature. Additionally, a creature that starts its turn grappled by you takes piercing damage equal to half your barbarian level, and you gain temporary hit points equal to the damage the creature took. If you hit a creature grappled by you with your Spiked Armor Attack, that creature is considered both grappled and restrained by you.

Spiky Charge

Beginning at 10th level, you can use your action to charge forward, bashing through enemies. As an action while you are raging and wearing Spiked Armor, you can move up to your movement speed. Any creature of your choice within 5 feet of wherever you move must make a Dexterity saving throw, the DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier. On a failed save, a creature takes damage equal to your Spiked Armor Attack, and are knocked prone. On a successful save, they take half the attacks damage, and are not knocked prone. If a creature fails this save by more than 5, roll your Spiked Armor Attack damage as a critical hit. You can use this feature up to your Constitution modifier, and regain all uses on a long rest.

Spiked Retaliation

Starting at 14th level, when you would take damage from an enemies melee attack, you can use your reaction to give yourself resistance to that instance of damage. If you do, deal half of the damage you would've taken to your enemy as piercing damage.
