Monk
Base Class: Monk

A seclusive sect of sword masters founded the Blinding Sword Art many years ago after fleeing from the persecution of other martial sects. Set in the Blade Mist Mountains, the Blinding Sword Sect is hidden so that only its members can find it. Those that seek its power and mysterious ways will only find disappointment since the only way disciples are taken in, outside of bloodline, is by selection by a Sect Elder. Practioners of the Blinding Sword are known for their mystery, martial prowess, and the flash of light before someone ends up dead.

Path of the Blinding Sword

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your special martial arts training leads you to master the use of longswords, short swords, and great swords and they count as monk weapons. Additionally when you take the flurry of blows bonus action you have two options for each attack, Blinding Sword and Vanishing Sword.

Blinding Sword. When you strike with your blade, you angle your strike to reflect light into the opponents eyes. The target must make a CON save against your Ki save DC or be blinded until the start of your next turn.

Vanishing Sword. As you strike with your blade you bend the light around it making it vanish from sight for just an instant, granting you advantage on that strike.

Sword Light

At 6th level, you extend your ki into your swords, granting you the following benefits.

Sword Light. Your attacks with your swords count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Light Step. You can spend a ki point, before making an attack, to vanish from sight for a moment and move to a target within 30ft. of you and make your attack.

Hidden Light

At 11th level, you gain the ability to bend light around you with your ki. As an action you can become invisible as long as you are in any type of light. You remain invisible as long as you do not make an attack, cast a spell, or enter an area of darkness or shadow. Additionally, you gain expertise in stealth.

Myriad Blinding Sword Lights

At 17th level, your mastery of the Blinding Sword arts have reached the final stage. Any attack you make can be a Vanishing Sword or a Blinding Sword. Additionally when you use flurry of blows you can spend ki points to increase the number of attacks by one for each ki point spent.
