Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of the Circle of the Stone have a deep connection with the stone and ores of the earth itself, seeing them as living beings that watch over the creatures of the Material Plane. Races of the Underdark make up many of these druids, but dwarves and other humanoids that frequently travel or live within caves may choose this circle as well. These druids always feel safe when within the confines of a cave and believe the stone is watching them like a protectful mother. Worked stone and metal are seen as natural extensions of the earth itself by druids of this circle and, unlike other druids, have no qualms against using metal armor.

Circle Spells

Due to your deep connection with the earth of the Material Plane, you gain certain spells that complement your practices. At 2nd level, you learn the mold earth cantrip if you do not already know it, otherwise you may choose an additional cantrip from the druid spell list. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of the Stone Spells table.

Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day.

Bonus Proficiency

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain proficiency with the light hammer, war pick, warhammer, and mason's tools. Unlike most druids, you have no restrictions against using metal armor.

Stone Form

At 2nd level, you gain the ability to call upon the protection of the earth beneath you.

When you use your Wild Shape feature, you may choose to gift yourself with the toughness of stone instead of transforming. When you do so, your AC increases by 2 and you gain resistance to all non-psychic damage. You are unable to speak or provide the somatic components for spells while in this form. Additionally, you may only perform a weapon attack once per round (including opportunity attacks), regardless of spells or class features that says otherwise. This form and it's benefits last 1 minute or until you use your Wild Shape again. You can also use a bonus action to end this form early.

Worker of the Stone

At 6th level, you receive the gift to work stone with perfected might. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature or object with a melee weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 force damage to the target. You are able to use this ability even when you are under the effects of the Wild Shape feature. When you reach 14th level, the bonus damage increases to 2d8.

Additionally, whenever you deal damage to a non-magical object or wall with a melee weapon attack, instead of rolling the damage dice, use the highest possible number for each die when totaling the damage.

Geode Shield

At 10th level, you gain the ability to entomb yourself in crystal to protect you from outside harm. Whenever you take damage, you can as a reaction choose to encase yourself inside a structure of conjured minerals and receive a number of temporary hit points equal to double your druid level. The initial damage that prompted this ability is negated by these temporary hit points as well. Any remaining temporary hit points disappear at the beginning of your next turn.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

One with the Stone

At 14th level, you become so in tune with the earth that you receive supernatural senses from the spirits that reside within it. You gain tremorsense out to 60 feet.
