Base Class: Monk

Those of the Steel Blood have willingly imbued nanomachinery into their biology, allowing their ki abilities to be augmented with technology. Though rare, these monks specialize in machinery operation and destruction, and are often called upon to end threats by rogue AI, warforged, or cyborgs due to their ability to naturally interface with those of the cyber realm.

Nanomech Arts

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your nanoki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast darkness, alter self, mirror image, or knock, without providing material components. Additionally, you gain the shocking grasp cantrip if you don’t already know it. This cantrip is treated as an unarmed strike for the purposes of your monk abilities.

Quantum Step

At 6th level, you gain the ability to create and step through microwormholes near machinery. As a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is within 10 feet of a machine or magical construct. You then have advantage on the first melee attack you make before the end of the turn.

Cyber Cloak

By 11th level, you have learned to become one with machine. When you are near machinery or a magical construct, you can use your action to become invisible. You remain invisible until you make an attack, cast a spell,  leave the area of the machinery or the machinery is shut off or destroyed.

NanoKi Ray

At 17th level, you can exploit a creature’s momentary distraction when it is hit by an attack. Whenever a creature within 30 feet of you is hit by an attack made by a creature other than you, you can use your reaction and a ki point to attempt to stun that creature.
