Base Class: Barbarian
“Behold... the blood of the dragon, drawn from the beating heart of a wyvern. Drink in the strength of a thousand generations.”
I cut the beast. It had seared me, but now its blood was the balm that would sooth. Later, I took the smallest amount and, adding it to the rite and ritual I had learned, drank without hesitation. It did not taste like blood as the uninitiated understand it, for they only know the taste of the wound, a flavor of defeat. It is not so easy, however, to learn this gift, as it comes from the ritually prepared blood of a dragon. The taste of blood coursing within, of life, of the primal - a burning that is not swallowed so much as it inhabits. To infuse with the blood and life of such a beast is to be changed at the core. Some could see it and knew I was more than I had been. Some could not and had no warning. And some knew, but would not say, for the choice of how to wield it is truly mine. The act of becoming is a defiance of all expectation. For I am fire! For I am... death!
3rd Lv. Draconic Bloodline
You can speak, read, and write Draconic.
At 3rd level, you choose one type of dragon whose blood you have inherited. The damage type associated with each dragon is used by features you gain.
Fire: fire is used by gold dragons, brass dragons and red dragons.
Electricity: Lightning is used by blue dragons and bronze dragons.
Acid: The black and copper dragon uses a powerful acid.
Poison: The green dragon uses poisonous gas.
Cold: The white and silver dragons both use ice.
As magic flows through your body, it causes physical traits of your dragon ancestors to emerge. At 3rd level, your hit point maximum increases by 1 and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.
When you aren't wearing armor, your AC equals 10 + strength modifier + your constitution modifier.
You gain certain dragon features such as draconic claws, scales, or horns that allow the barbarian's unarmed attacks to deal 2d4 either magical bludgeoning damage or your chosen dragons elemental damage type (your choice). At a certain level in this class the damage increases to a 2d6 at level 10 and 2d8 at level 15.
6th Lv. Aspect of the Wyrm
Any elemental damage based on the barbarian's chosen dragon's elemental affinity ( example: if red dragon was chosen then the damage is fire damage) ignores any elemental resistance of that type.
While rageing, the damage modifier for your rage can also deal elemental damage based on your chosen dragon's elemental affinity ( example: if red dragon was chosen then the damage dealt is fire damage). Additionally while the barbarian is raging, the barbarian gains elemental damage resistance based on their chosen dragon's elemental affinity ( example: if red dragon was chosen then the damage dealt is fire damage).
10th Lv. Dragon's Fury
When the barbarian first enters its rage, all creatures within sight and/or can hear the barbarian must make a wisdom saving throw based upon the following save DC. 8 + proficiency bonus + constitution modifier. Any creature that fails their saving throw becomes frightened of the barbarian. This ability does not affect those immune to the frightened condition.
As a bonus action on their turn the barbarian can use a draconic breath attack that targets any creature within a 15-foot cone from the barbarin. Any creature in range of this attack must make a dexterity saving throw based on 8 + proficiency bonus + constitution modifier and on a fail save they suffer from the following effects based upon the barbarian's chosen dragon type. Damage caused by this feature increases as the barbarian gains levels in this class changing to 3d8 at level 14 and 4d8 at level 18. Can only use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Red/Gold/Brass Dragon- 2d8 fire damage and half as much on a success. On a failed save if the target(s) are holding, wearing, or are metallic in any way, they suffer the effects of the Heat Metal.
Blue/Bronze Dragon- 2d8 lightning damage and half as much on a success. All saving throws against this ability are made with disadvantage if the target(s) is holding, wearing, or metalic in any way. On a fail save, the target(s) are parlyzed for until the end of your next turn.
Black/Copper Dragon- 2d8 acid damage and half as much on a success. On a failed save the target(s) are blinded and must spend an action each round to make a constitution saving throw against this feature save DC in order to remove it.
Green Dragon- 2d8 poison damage and half as much on a success. Target(s) suffer the effects of the poisoned condition. On a failed save the target(s) suffers from one of the diseases listed in the Contagion (the DM may decide or roll for which disease the target(s) are afflicted with).
White/Silver- 2d8 cold damage and half as much on a success. Target(s) movement speed is halved for one round and can't use its reaction. On a failed saving throw for one round are only able to use an action or a bonus action not both.
14th LV. Draconic Body
Gain the magic resistance feature, the barbarian has advantage on spell saving throws.
When the Barbarian enters their rage the barbarian either grows or conjures draconic wings and gains a flying speed equal to their walking speed and the barbarian gains immunity to the damage type associated with their chosen dragon's elemental affinity (example: if red dragon was chosen, then the Barbarian has immunity to fire damage). Additionally while you are raging you may add your constitution modifier to any unarmed attack damage rolls.
