Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Opportunists have mastered the art of hiding when they lose momentum in combat, then striking when the time is right and following up with a series of brutal strikes.

Opportunists gain access to...

Shadow Refuge

Stealth Attacks

Relentless Momentum

Shadow Counter

Silent Slashes

Swift Maul

Blossoming Death

Shadow Refuge

Opportunists gain Shadow Refuge starting at level 3.

Shadow Refuge allows an Opportunist to roll a stealth check for their bonus action; if they roll a natural 13 or higher on it, they enter Stealth, turning them invisible to all until their next bonus action.

Opponents can only hit Opportunists in Stealth with melee and AoE attacks, and have half their regular to-hit – rounded down – on those attacks.

Stealth Attacks

Starting from level 3, Opportunists may use Stealth Attacks, which are attacks that may only be used in Stealth as actions. Opportunists must land a natural 7 or above to land a Stealth Attack.

Opportunists have access to two Stealth Attacks:

Backstab: The Opportunist stabs an opponent of their choice. Backstab deals 1d12 damage from the target's back or sides, and 1d8 from their front.

Front damage does 2d8 at level 7, 3d8 at level 11, 4d8 at level 15, and 5d8 at level 19.

Side/back damage does 2d12 at level 7, 3d12 at level 11, 4d12 at level 15, and 5d12 at level 19.

Takedown: The Opportunist leaps onto their opponent and kicks them into the ground, interrupting anything they're doing and knocking them down. Takedown deals 1d4 damage.

Takedown damage does 2d4 at level 6, 3d4 at level 9, 4d4 at level 12, 5d4 at level 15, and 6d4 at level 18.

Relentless Momentum

When an Opportunist disables - including knockdowns, stuns, and interrupts - a target, the Opportunist may use an(other) action.

Opportunists have an extra +2 to-hit on actions against opponents that have been disabled during the Opportunist's turn.

Shadow Counter

Shadow Counter may be used at any time by an Opportunist. Once it's used, the Opportunist must roll a d6 without showing the result anyone. The result of the d6 is the amount of turns the Opportunist will have before Shadow Counter is once again available for use.

Shadow Counter blocks any incoming attack, stuns the attacker, and Stealths the Opportunist.

Silent Slashes

Each time an Opportunist disables an opponent, the Opportunist swiftly follow up with a passive wrist-knife slash, automatically dealing damage equal to their dexterity modifier plus 1d8 damage at level 13 and 2d8 damage at level 17.

Swift Maul

Starting from level 13, Opportunists are proficient with mauls. However, if they use a maul during their action, they may not use it during their next action.

When an Opportunist lands an attack with a maul on an opponent, the Opportunist may roll a d20. If they roll a natural 11 or above, their opponent is knocked down.

Blossoming Death

Twice per battle, an Opportunist may use Blossoming Death at any moment. Blossoming Death multiplies the damage dealt by the Opportunist to opponents that turn by 3.
