Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Sorrows are keen at playing on peoples emotions and memories. These bards are masters of ballads and writing depressing poetry. They can often be found performing at funerals, or writing stories for grieving family members. They are also skilled at combat making even the toughest of foes become frightened and sorrowful.
Sow Sorrow
When you join the College of Sorrows at 3rd level, you know how to use your words to manipulate your enemies.
As an action, you can force a creature to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell casting modifier. On a success, nothing happens. On a failure, the creature begins to weep uncontrollably for 1 minute. While in this state the creature makes attacks at disadvantage.
You can do this once per short or long rest.
Rites of the Dead
At 3rd level, you learn to give the dead the respect they require.
As an action, you can play a ballad that harms the undead. Each undead that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes any damage.
A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.
You can do this once per short or long rest.
Also if you take five minutes you can touch one corpse, and for the next 7 days, the target can’t become undead by any means short of a wishspell. You can do this any number of times
Damaging Wail
At 6th level, you learn to channel the sorrow that you know so well.
You can cast Thunderwave, without expending a spell slot. This version of the spell doesn't require any somatic component as you let out a loud damaging wail. You can do this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).
Song of Sorrow
At 14th level, you learn how to sing a song of sorrow.
As an action, you can perform a sorrowful song. Any number of creatures of your choice within 30ft of you that has an Intelligence score of 4 or greater, and that can hear you, must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or take 7d8 psychic damage, or half as much on a success.
Also, any creature that fails their save is considered to be turned, as worry fills their thoughts and they feel they need to flee.
You can do this once per short rest.
