Base Class: Monk
Windwalking is an ancient martial art which combines lightning fast strikes and projecting your ki around yourself as well as into your enemies.
It is devised of the teachings of Xuen, the White Tiger, one of the guardian deities of Pandaria.
Teachings of Xuen
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn the ancient martials arts of the Windwalker. You learn different techniques with varying difficulty. Whenever you use Flurry of Blows, you can instead use one of the techniques below, which replace some of your attacks this turn.
- Rising Sun Kick: A fast upward kick, which deals additional damage. Make an unarmed melee attack against one creature within 5 feet of you. On a hit, deal double your Martial Arts die as damage. Replaces one of your Flurry of Blows attacks.
- Fists of Fury: Swiftly punch multiple times in front of you. Each hostile creature in a 10 foot-cone must make a dexterity saving throw, taking double your Martial Arts die as damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Replaces both of your Flurry of Blows attacks. Costs 1 additional ki.
- Whirling Dragon Punch: Perform a devastating whirling upwards punch. Each hostile creature in a 10 foot-circle centered around you must make a dexterity saving throw, taking triple your Martial Arts die as damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Replaces both of your Flurry of Blows attacks, as well as one attack of your attack action. Costs 2 additional ki.
Windwalking
At 6th level, you gain the ability to enhance your and your companions movement.
Your base walking speed is increased by 10 feet. Any friendly creature starting their turn within 10 feet of you will be strengthened by your ki flowing around you, increasing their walking speed by 10 feet until the end of their turn.
Touch of Karma
Beginning at 11th level, you can channel your ki into a hostile creature.
As a reaction, you can spend 2 ki and reverse all harm you recieve onto a creature you can see within 20 feet range.
Half of every point of damage you take (rounded up), up to half your maximum HP, will be directed towards your target as radiant damage until the start of your next turn.
Touch of Death
At 17th level, you gain the ability to percieve and exploit the weakest point in someone’s body. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 3 ki points to push directly into this point. If the target's current HP is lower than yours, it is instantly reduced to 0 hit points. If it is higher, it instead recieves half of your current HP as necrotic damage.
