Path of the Dreaming Dark

These barbarians are willing beings who offer up their bodies to the il-Lavashtar, the powerful Quori spirits known as the Dreaming Dark. These followers are blessed with arcane magic tied to Dal Quor, the Realm of Dreams.

Dreaming in Darkness

Starting at 3rd level, the power of the Il-Lavashtar starts to seep into your mental faculties. You no longer require the need to sleep. You can gain the benefits of a long rest by a period of non-strenuous activity. You also become immune to the charmed and frightened condition.

Psychic Fury

Also starting at 3rd level, your body starts to feel the effects of its Dal Quor possession.  When you enter your rage, you can force a target within 5 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw. The DC for this is 8+ your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier. On a failed save, the target takes 1d8 psychic damage, or half as much on a failed save. This damage increases to 2d8 at 7th level and 3d8 at 11th level. 

Psychic Form

Starting at 6th level, the il-Lavashtar within you grants you increased power. While you are raging, you can choose to bolster your form with psychic energy,  no action required. Your attacks now deal psychic damage and you gain a resistance to psychic damage.

Quori Magic

Starting at 10th level, you learn to unlock the potential magic of the il-Lavashtar within you. Once a day, you can cast one of the following spells, without material components:

*Dream

*Dominate Person

*Scrying

The DC for these spells is 8+ your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier.

 

Power of Dal Quor

Starting at 14th level, the il-Lavashtar within you grows to a monstrous degree. Once a day, when you enter a rage, you can choose to force all creatures in a 10ft radius to make a Wisdom save. The DC for this is 8+ your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier. On a failed save they become frightened and charmed. In addition, they take 4d8 psychic damage as they are assaulted by psychic tentacles. On a successful save they take half damage and do not receive the frightened or charmed condition.
