Base Class: Barbarian
To the untrained eye, cowardice can look a lot like courage. For the Path of the Coward Barbarian, this is not the case. Fully consumed by fear, the coward’s rage is their desperate attempt to avoid harm while often running straight into more danger. But fear can also be a weapon in more ways than one.
Blind Panic
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you slip into a blind panic when you rage. At the beginning of each of your turns, while you are raging, you become frightened of the nearest hostile creature. Any attacks of opportunity triggered by your flight from the source of your fear are ignored, and you can use your reaction to take the attack instead. Damage dealt this way is halved.
Flight of the Meek
Beginning at 6th level, when you become frightened while raging, your movement speed doubles as you try desperately to flee from your foe.
Pitiful Aura
Beginning at 10th level, your allies take pity on you and offer their protection. While in combat, any non-hostile creature within 60 feet of you that can see you gains 1d4 to all attack rolls that target a creature that has caused you to become frightened. On a hit, the attacker can add 1d6 to all damage rolls. If you end your turn out of their line of sight, this bonus ends.
The Mind Killer
[Starting at 14th level, whenever you become frightened of a creature while raging, seeing your sheer terror causes their fear to rise as well. It must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or take 2d6 psychic damage as your fear is reflected back on them.
