Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Watching the master of the spear fight is akin to watching somebody dancing. Trading attack power for the ability to parry incoming attacks is their greatest assist.

Spear Parry

At 3rd level the Spear Fighter learns how to parry attacks with their spear, they must be using a glaive, halberd, quarterstaff, or spear. The Spear Fighter spends a panache point and rolls an attack roll against the enemy's melee attack that they can see, if it meets or exceeds their roll they successfully parried the attack and take no damage. They must declare the parry attempt after the die is rolled, but before the damage is rolled. Every parry attempt after the first, as well as every attack made until the end of their turn is made without their proficiency bonus.

Panache

A Spear Fighter uses these points to parry, they can choose to use a reaction and not spend a point. At the end of the Spear Fighter's turn all panache are restored.
