Monk
Base Class: Monk

Where monks who follow the other paths may find their strength in martial arts and precision, there are also those who gain their strength through pure discipline, honing their bodies to levels unattainable to all but the most dedicated.  For these few, they find a new path lies open.  With their newfound power, enemies can be sundered, their health siphoned, and the very earth will tremble beneath them.

Sundering Strike

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you no longer deal damage with unarmed strikes in the normal manner.  Instead, you deal damage based on the enemy’s current health.  The table below demonstrates the manner in which you may deal damage, or the way in which your reckless strikes may damage you.

Roll

Damage Dealt

Rolled (Natural) 20

Enemy takes 50% of current health + unarmed attack damage

For each +1 above the enemy’s Armour Class

Enemy takes 5% of their current health

Enemy’s Armour Class

Enemy takes unarmed strike damage

Up to -3 below enemy’s Armour Class

No damage taken by either party

For each -1 below the enemy’s Armour Class -3

You take 5% of your current health

Rolled (Natural) 1

You take 50% of your current health

You also gain the mage hand cantrip.  The minimum damage you can deal to an enemy, should you succeed in hitting, is one hitpoint.

Ki Siphon

Starting at 6th level, you are able to siphon health from enemies you hit with an unarmed strike.  As a bonus action upon hitting an enemy with an unarmed strike, you can regain hitpoints up to three times your monk level, capping at that or the damage you dealt, whichever is lower.  You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.

Bull Rush

At 11th level, when you move 20ft or greater in a straight line, you can pass through space occupied by another creature of your size or smaller, dealing 2d6 bludgeoning damage, knocking them aside, and resetting this distance. This damage counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Quaking Blows

At 17th level you gain the ability to cast Earthquake using ten ki points.  No material components are necessary, nor are any verbal components.  A minimum of one limb must be available in order to cast.  Your spell save DC is equal to 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.
