Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You need a deck of cards to play this class.  It's more fun with Joker's, but have fun with things your way.

Your deck is shuffled after every rest (long or short).  Cards pulled from the deck are set aside until the deck runs out of cards.  Once all cards of the deck have been exhausted, the deck is reshuffled, unless in combat, in which case your action can be used to reshuffle the deck.

Spells casted from the cards are always casted at their base spell level, and by default, cannot be casted as a higher one.  Any spells cast from the cards use Dex as their casting ability instead of their usual one.

Card Effects:

Any 2 except the 2 of Hearts: Remove the 2 of Hearts from the deck, then shuffle the remaining cards.  If the 2 of hearts is not in the deck, receive disadvantage on all card spell casted until the entire deck is shuffled again.

3's: Red - Random cantrip, Black - Pick a cantrip

4's: Black - Halve your current HP, Red - Random healing spell

5's: Red - Look at the top 5 cards of the deck, arrange them in any order, put them back on the deck, and play the new top card.  Clubs - Look at the top 5 cards of the deck, arrange them in a random order, put them back on the deck, then play the new top card.  Spades - Draw the top 5 cards of your deck and play them in order.

6's: Choose any 6th or lower level spell.  Randomly choose a class that can cast spells.  If the chosen class can learn the chosen spell, cast it.

7's: Draw the next card in the deck.  You can then choose to play it, save it to be used instead of a draw, or remove it from the deck.

8's: Any Spell, chosen at random

9's: Choose a class that can cast spells.  Cast a random spell from that class's list of spells.

10's: Remove the top 10 cards of the deck, and then draw the new top card and play it.  If fewer than 10 cards in deck, play the bottom card of the deck, then your deck is emptied and needs to be reshuffled.  If last card in deck, deck is automatically reshuffled, and the top card is played in place of this one.

Jacks: Red - Randomly choose a number from 1 to 3.  Choose a spell of that level to cast.  Black - Choose a number from 1 to 3.  Cast a random spell of that level.

Queens: Red - Randomly choose a number from 4 to 6.  Choose a spell of that level to cast.  Black - Choose a number from 4 to 6.  Cast a random spell of that level.

Kings: Red - Randomly choose a number from 7 or 8.  Choose a spell of that level to cast.  Black - Choose a number from 7 or 8.  Cast a random spell of that level.

Aces: Spades - Choose a level 9 spell to cast, excluding Wish.  Not Spades - Cast a random level 9 spell, excluding Wish.

2 of Hearts: Cast Wish

Joker - Randomly chosen effect off of your favorite wild magic table

Sticky Fingers

This feature has a maximum of 2 charges.  A long rest recovers all charges.

You can expend 1 charge to draw two cards from your deck, and then choose which cards to play.  You must play at least 1 card

This increases to three cards at level 7, four cards at level 11, and 5 cards at level 19.  At level 15, the number of charges increases to three.

Know When to Hold 'Em

You can use this ability once per short rest.

Draw the top seven cards of the deck.  Make the best 5-card Poker hand that you can with the cards, but if you can make any hand better than "high-card", you must.  Play the cards that make up the hand, excluding cards that do not directly contribute, in any order you like.

(E.g. if the created hand is a pair, you only play the two cards that make the pair.  If the created hand is a flush, you play all 5 cards.)

Stacked Deck

(This feature becomes available at level 4.  It's put in this slot to meet DnD Beyond's requirements for class features.)

Whenever you shuffle the deck, you can choose a card from the deck (except for the 2 of Hearts), remove it, shuffle the deck, and put the chosen card on top.  If the deck is reshuffled as an action in combat, you can (and must) use a bonus action to apply this feature.

The number of cards you can stack is increased to two at level 8, three at level 13, and four at level 18.

Draw Power

(This feature is available at level 5.  It's marked at level 17 to meet DnD Beyond's subclass requirements)

You can choose to draw two cards instead of one.  If you do, the top card of the deck still produces its effect, and if it results in a spell being cast, if the value of the second card is greater than or equal to the base level of the spell, the value of the card is the level at which the spell is cast.  Otherwise, the spell fails.  (10, J, Q, K, A are treated as 9, Jokers are wild cards that can be used to choose any level desired, including an intentional failure.)

At level 11 you can choose to draw three cards, and at 17 you can choose to draw four.  You choose the card, as long as at least one is higher than the base spell level.
