Base Class: Cleric
A Cleric from the Donation Of The Puppeteer is one who has studied the ways of the damned and has power of the souls of the dead. This makes them feared and rejected from the community of Clerics because they don’t let the dead rest in piece. Such power has made these clerics one of the most insane as the dead don’t like being back in the living plane and beg to be released back to the realm of the dead and will do anything to make that happen even if they have to try and kill the cleric that brought them back.
Bonus Proficiency
When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with heavy armor.
Soul Bound
Also starting at 1st level, You my call a soul from the beyond the grave to act as your familiar and spell focus. This soul can possess many different objects such as chairs, cups, hats and many different in object’s or items like a dagger or arrow at level one. If the soul is inhabiting a lamp, lantern or anything that produces light it does so only to you. So if you have the soul inhabit a lantern lantern works without fuel but only you can see the light produces.
If for any reason your soul companion is removed from your control you may take a short rest and call them back from the beyond to serve you again
Dead Man’s Grace
Starting at 2nd level, you have the power to gain or give temp hit points to you or your allies at the cost of your soul companion. (You can only use this feature if you have your soul companion)
As an action, you present the soul and evoke healing energy that can gain or give a number of hit points equal to five times your cleric level. Choose any ally or yourself within 30 feet of you, and divide those hit points among them. This feature can give a creature to no more than 25. You can’t use this feature on an undead or a construct.
Beast Puppeteer
Beginning at 6th level, if there is a creature with a size of medium or smaller with an intelligent score below seven is dead or has just been killed you may have the soul you summoned possess the corpse. (If you’re in combat this takes a bonus action.) You may use your action to use one of the actions of the creature the soul is inhabiting such as a wolf using its bite attack.
Dead Man’s Blade
At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with unholy energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 necrotic damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Army Of The Dead
Starting at 17th level, you can use your action to raise an army of the dead but there is a very high penalty if you do so. The amount of Undead creatures you summon is equal to your cleric level - 2. The penalty for doing is that it drops you to one hit point but the next time you gain hit points you gain that amount + an extra 1d8. The dead you summon are skeletons and you use the stat block for them. They count as one group so they have one action for all of them and do half damage to all things. To have them perform an action you must use yours to tell them what to attack and what weapon to use. They also have one hit point each so the total hit points for the group is equal to the amount of skeletons eg. 15 skeletons = 15 hit points meaning if they take 5 damage five of them are killed.
to use this feature again you must complete a long rest
