Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Protection is for those who feel for those weaker and less able then themselves. Oath of Protection paladins are always at the front of battle ready to die in the defense of those around them. They do not flee from danger but rather charge towards it thinking of only the safety of others over than their own. To these paladins letting an innocent die is the greatest sin of all.
Tenets of Protection
Defense. Always protect those that need protecting. Be prepared to fight and die for the weak and innocent.
Strength. Train your body to be a shield. Be ready to stand before any force no matter how strong.
Bravery. Be willing to stand up to any threat no matter the danger to your own life.
Responsibility. Anyone who dies while under your watch is your responsibility. Atone for your mistakes and never let it happen again.

Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.
- Hardened Spirit As an action on your turn, you can use your Channel Divinity to brace yourself for any incoming damage. Until the end of your next turn you have resistance to all damage.
- Propelling Smite Immediately after you deal damage to a creature with your Divine Smite feature, you can use your Channel Divinity to push the target up to 30ft away from you.
Aura of Resilience
At 7th level, you emanate an aura that strengthens the resolve of you allies. You have advantage on Constitution saving throws and your concentration can not be broken by damage. In addition, if you aren't incapacitated, any ally who starts their turn within 5 feet of you has advantage on Constitution saving throws and can not have their concentration broken by damage until the end of their next turn.
Defensive Positioning
When you reach 15th level, you can quickly reposition to protect your allies. As a reaction when an ally within 5 feet of you is targeted by an attack roll you can switch places with the target as long as they are willing. The attack roll now targets you.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expand uses when you finish a long rest.
Bulwark of Force
At 20th level you can enter a heightened state of defense being able to repel most attacks with ease. As an action you enter a fortress-like state for 1 minute gaining the following benefits:
- Any hostile creature within 30 feet of you that can see you have disadvantage on attack rolls against any creature other than you. Any creature immune to the frightened condition is immune to this effect.
- You can now use your Lay on Hands Feature as a bonus action
- You gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma Modifier at the start of each of your turns.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
