Base Class: Monk
[Subclass based on the telekinetic monk archetype originally posted by u/Levistej on the r/UnearthedArcana subreddit.]
Monks who follow the Way of the Unseen Hand take their minds to new limits. Through a lifetime of training their innate psionic abilities become so vast that hey can crush their foes or send them flying with a single thought. This path is reserved for but a few who can master their mastery of Ki and channel it into a devastating telekinetic flurry. Because their abilities are suited to warfare, masters of the unseen hand are often found in the thick of the fighting, disarming opponents with telekinesis and using it to hurl them to the ground - or even high into the sky.
Hidden Fist
With a mere gesture, you can manifest your Ki as an invisible force. Starting at 3rd level, you learn the Mage Hand cantrip and may cast it as a bonus action, with the following modifications:
- The spell requires no components.
- The hand is invisible.
- For the purposes of manipulating objects, treat the hand's Strength score as equal to your Wisdom, rolling any required Athletics (Str) check as an Athletics (Wis) check instead, using your ability modifier.
- Any time you would make an unarmed strike during your turn, you can do so through your Mage Hand, using your Wisdom modifier for the attack and damage rolls.
- As a bonus action, while your Mage Hand is active, you can expend 1 Ki point to telekinetically shove one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. When you do so, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your Ki save DC or be moved toward you or away from you a number of feets equal to your Unarmored Movement, shown on your Monk Table. Additionally, you can spend 1 Ki point to make the target move 5 feet for every Ki point spent, up to a maximum of 6. A creature can willingly fail this save. If you use this feature to fling a creature that is bigger than you, you must expend 1 extra Ki point for each size category the creature is larger than yourself.
- As a reaction, while your Mage Hand is active, you can use Deflect Missiles through your Mage Hand to reduce the damage to a target, other than you, hit by a ranged weapon attack from a creature you can see, within 5 feet of your Mage Hand, by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + your monk level + your Wisdom modifier.
If you reduce the damage to 0, you can catch the missile if it is small enough for you to hold in one hand and you have at least one hand free. If you catch a missile in this way, you can spend 1 ki point to make a ranged attack with the weapon or piece of ammunition you just caught, as part of the same reaction. You make this attack with proficiency, regardless of your weapon proficiencies, and the missile counts as a monk weapon for the attack, which has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
Solid Air
Without hesitation, you are able to solidify matter around you, using thin air as a solid object. Beginning at 6th level, you can cast Feather Fall, Jump, Catapult, Knock, Levitate or Shield, without providing any components. You expend a number of Ki points equal to the spell level when you use this feature.
Invisible Grasp
Your mind is both a tool and a weapon, able to wreak havoc or create wonders. By 11th level, as an action, you can spend 6 Ki points to cast Arcane Hand, without providing any components. When cast using this feature, the hand is invisible.
Force Unleashed
Your psionic abilities have peeked, allowing you to control matter almost at will. When you reach 17th level, you expend 6 Ki points to cast the Telekinesis spell, requiring no components. Additionally, while you have at least one Ki point remaining, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a flying speed equal to 10 times your Wisdom modifier.
- You may choose to deal force instead of bludgeoning damage any time you land an unarmed strike through your Mage Hand.
- You gain a bonus on any Concentration check you have to make equal to your Wisdom modifier.
- You can spend 6 Ki points to cast Arcane Hand, without providing any components. When cast using this feature, the hand is invisible and it doesn't require Concentration. You can command two Arcane Hands at the same time, with the same bonus action.
