Base Class: Barbarian
Using black powder and bullets to scare your enemies, Path of Black Powder Barbarians use firearms in close range to maximum efficacy.
Brutal Bullets
When you choose this primal path at level 3, you gain proficiency with firearms. When using firearms in melee range, you may use strength instead of dexterity for your attack, to attack as a melee attack. This qualifies for all benefits of range and reckless as long as it is used as a melee attack, and does not incur disadvantage due to close range. Additionally, you deal an additional damage die on a hit.
Aura of Fear
Beginning at level 6, enemies become frightened at your presence. At the start of an enemy creature's turn, they mush make a wisdom saving throw (DC = Strength Modifier + Proficiency Bonus + 8) or become frightened until the end of their turn.
Startling Smoke
At 10th level, your aura of smoke is so powerful that all creatures become wary of you. On intimidation and persuasion checks, you may treat any roll of 9 or lower as a 10, and may use your strength modifier instead of your charisma modifier.
Bullet Storm
At 14th level, your attacks now have a wider field of attack. When making a melee firearm attack, all creatures within melee range of both you and the target (including the target) must make a dexterity saving throw (DC = Strength Modifier + Proficiency Bonus + 8) or take 1d12 piercing damage and 1d12 thunder damage, taking half damage on a save.
