Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

A holy agent of subterfuge that performs darker tasks that the church or temple deem to be necessary. Though not necessarily evil, a Holy Saboteur does not shy away from their tasks.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the cleric and paladin spell list.

Cantrips

You learn three cantrips: sacred flame and two other cantrips of your choice from the cleric spell list. You learn another cleric cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots

The Holy Saboteur Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your Cleric and Paladin spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell charm person and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast charm person using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level wizard spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the abjuration, evocation and enchantment spells on the cleric or paladin spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Holy Saboteur Spellcasting table shows when you learn more cleric and paladin spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be an abjuration, divination or enchantment spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the cleric or paladin spells you know with another spell of your choice from the cleric and paladin spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an abjuration, divination or enchantment spell, unless you’re replacing the spell you gained at 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th level from any school of magic.

Spellcasting Ability

Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your cleric and paladin spells, since you learn your spells through dedicated worship and faith. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a cleric or paladin spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Light the Way

Starting at 3rd level, when you cast sacred flame, you can do so using a bonus action, if the target takes damage from the sacred flame, they can be targeted with your Sneak Attack even if you don't meet the criteria needed to do so. This will not work however if you have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Guided by Faith

Starting at 9th level, when you miss a creature with an attack roll, you can roll an additional d4 and add it to your total a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain these uses after a long rest.

Burn the Faithless

At 13th level, when a creature takes damage from your sacred flame and takes damage from your sneak attack feature on the same turn, your sneak attack deals an additional 2d6 points of radiant damage.

Are You There God?

At 17th level, you gain the ability to call upon the favor of your deity or faith.

As an action you call upon your deity or faith to grant to a divine favor. Doing so will allow you to cast any spell 5th level or lower, from the Cleric or Paladin spell lists as an action. This will not expend a spell slot or require material components. Once you use this feature, you may not use it again for a week.
