Base Class: Blood Hunter
This Order is the most infant of the order and embodies sacrifice in its purest form: throwing one's self on the blade for others. The members have discovered a way to use their talents to aid and benefit others and refined that aspect to maximum potential. Angels, as they are referred to within the order, obsess over their craft, using the crimson passion that flows within their veins, to prevent misfortune dealt towards others.
Rite of Passion
When you join this college at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of Passion. When you use the Rite of Passion, you gain the following benefits:
- You have resistance to cold damage
- You grant one ally advantage against the charmed condition
- You grant a different ally advantage against the frightened condition
The Sacrifice
At 7th level, if you take damage from an enemy while you have a creature charmed, you can spend a reaction to roll your hemocraft die, subtract the result from the damage and split the damage equally (rounding down) between one charmed creature and yourself. You and the creature then can no longer take harmful actions against each other for 1 minute. The effect ends if the charm ends.
Tristan Chord
At 11th level, when you damage an enemy creature, you can choose to place a brand on an allied creature. Whenever the carrier of the brand would take damage (as long as the allied creature is visible to you within 30ft), you can expend a hemocraft die, taking that amount of damage, to raise the AC of your ally by the same amount. It can be done after the roll has happened, but before the result is heard.
Number of brands is equal to hunter level divided by 5 (rounded down).
The brands can be moved as a bonus action.
Daaé
At 15th level, you bestow parts of your soul to your allies. If an ally within 30ft fails a saving throw, you can replace their die roll with a 10. You can do this for up to proficiency bonus allies, but in doing so you subtract a d8 per ally helped from your HP. This reduction cannot be mitigated nor can it be healed until the completion of a long rest.
Curtain Call
At 18th level, your sacrifices know no bounds. As an action, you drop yourself to 0 HP. Immediately after, bolstered by your sacrifice, your allies get an action to attack. All attacks( weapon, unarmed, and spell) are made with advantage and add your hemocraft die to the damage. If they cast a spell that requires a saving throw, the affected creatures subtract the result of the hemocraft die from their save.
This feature can be used multiple times, but each time, after the first, grants a level of exhaustion.
