Base Class: Wizard
The tale of the Arcane Striker begins centuries ago with a wizard. He strove for efficiency and ease of use in magic, and pioneered many styles of magic along the way, but in the end, he rejected them all. At the end of his wits, he then discovered... the Lancer Glyph. It activated latent magical potential and allowed the bearer to project their magic in a blade of elemental energy. He went on to expand it into defensive areas as well. But then, a band of rogues caught wind of his magical exploits, broke into his tower, and made off with a scroll of the glyphs.
The band of rogues went on to become even more successful than before, and formed a full-fledged fellowship of felonious fops and flippant fraudsters. Thanks to the glyphs with they now bore, they were able to detect magical danger, had heightened reactions, and were able to strike from afar without the use of traditional weapons. However, the wizard still had students and disciples training with the glyphs, and the development of the emerging school of magic was halted. There was a secret war that raged for years between the guild of rogues and mage, with no clear advantages to either side for much of that time. It took one of the newer rogues turning on his allies and leading some of the mages back into their guild hideout to get some of the diagrams and original glyphs back. However, some of the most learned mages and original disciples of the glyph's inventor had perished or joined the other side, so progress on expanding the glyphs almost came to a complete halt.
One of the few innovations made happened when the mages realized they had no close quarters answer for the rogue guild, who had their physical talents in addition to the glyph. And so, the Lancer Glyph became the Striker Glyph: an emblem that could project a shimmering blade of energy from the bearer and bolster their defense and resilience. This protection in close range gave the wizards great boldness and versatility, allowing them to tackle many quests and mysteries on their own that they previously would have needed outside help for. In time, with so few of the originals left, the mage guild became known by their glyphs: Arcane Strikers.
It may be that you were marked with a glyph long ago and only now know its power, or that you sought out the Arcane Strikers after hearing of their deeds of daring- but in any case, the glyph you now bear is set to propel you on adventures you could previously only dream of. Your Striker Glyph grows and expands over time as you master it, becoming more ornate and personalized as the magic it awakens and empowers is heightened. For many Arcane Strikers, their glyph is a point of pride, keeping it uncovered even when it may not be best to do so, or using its base form as embroidery on their clothes. Still others are more secretive, only unveiling their glyph as a last resort. How you treat it is up to you, but a Striker Glyph in action is always sure to draw attention.
Striker Glyph
Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you gain a Striker Glyph, an arcane emblem on your body which you can activate to slice enemies with magical energy, dealing 1d6 damage. Its magic also gives you protection from the same element you now wield. Glyph damage is permanent choice of Fire, Lightning, Radiant, or Cold. It counts as magical and an attack. The Glyph damage increases as you level up.
Blazing Glyph
Striker Glyph damage becomes Fire.
Freezing Glyph
Striker Glyph damage becomes Cold.
Shining Glyph
Striker Glyph damage becomes Radiant.
Shocking Glyph
Striker Glyph damage becomes Lightning.
Striker Shields
Also beginning at 2nd level, your glyph has defensive areas that remain active, warding off blows and increasing your durability. You have an Intelligence modifier bonus to your unarmored Armor Class.
Extra Attack
Starting at 6th level, your comfort and ability with your Glyph opens up even more opportunities to strike. When you attack with your Striker Glyph, you can attack twice.
Empowered Glyph
Beginning at 10th level, your Striker Glyph has taken on a new form, becoming more ornate and enhancing the intensity of your attacks. Your Striker Glyph deals half damage on a miss, and has additional effects on a hit.
Blinding Edge
The target has disadvantage on Wisdom ability checks that rely on sight until the end of it next turn.
Crackling Edge
The target of Shocking Glyph has disadvantage on Dexterity ability checks until the end of its next turn.
Frigid Edge
You don't provoke opportunity attacks when moving away from the target until the end of your next turn.
Inferno Edge

Master Sigil
Starting at 14th level, your Striker Glyph is fully matured and gives you a supernatural awareness and arcane acumen, glowing in the presence of other magic. You are always under the effects of a Detect Magic spell. Your Striker Glyph produces an even stronger field of protection that emits arcane feedback when encountering similar signatures, letting attacks with it ignore resistance to its damage type. You can use your Striker Glyph to cast the Light cantrip on yourself without material components when it is unobscured.
