Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Sometime, somewhere in the world of Illskavegr, a mortal has faced the fate many before and after them did. Death to bleeding out. Life is a constant strife and when it is not, it is simply the calmness before the storm. But, when their blood was leaving their vessel and they were close to the cold, but peaceful embrace of death, it all played out differently. The soul decided it wasn't ready to leave the vessel yet and did the unthinkable, it lended the vessel a fraction of it's own power and the mortal reclaimed all their lost blood with a simple gesture.

The art of sanguinemancy, as the magic fueled by one's blood or directly manipulating blood is called, was passed down in dangerous rituals with a very high mortality. The Likamé performing the ritual, also called sire, starts slowly drawing blood out of the applicant. Some are able to save themselves through performing sanguinemancy, becoming a practicant through the created urgency, but most die in the process.

The Likamé are hunted by most, as their art is deemed immoral, often is illegal and most importantly strikes fear into mortal hearts.

Extended Spell List

The Likamé grants you an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Likamé Expanded Spells

Pleasure in Death

Starting at 1st level, death usually comes hand in hand with a bloody spectacle, in Illskavegr that is. A Likamé is unable, or unwilling, to pass out the opportunity for free power in the form of the viscous sanguine liquid and utilises it to mend their own wounds.

Whenever a creature dies within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction heal Xd8 HP (where X is the CR of the monster, if it is lower than 1, the HP regained is always a 1d4).

Enfuel Magic

Whenever casting a spell, you can upcast it by one level above the spell slot you are using with one of your hit die.
You can use your bonus action to regain an expended spell slot by taking Xd8 + X necrotic damage (where X is your warlock level).
You can use your action to regain Xd8 HP (where X is your warlock level).

Reinforced Vitae

Beginning at 10th level, thanks to the strong grip you have over your body and most importantly, your blood, you are more resistant to diseases, harmful substances and others' attempts to manipulate it.
You gain resistance to poison and advantage against contracting diseases. You also gain advantage on spells casted by other sanguinemancers against you. If you would lower your health to 0 through usage of a feature of this subclass you will lower to 1 instead once per combat.

Resourceful

Starting at 14th level, instead of using your own blood in the Enfuel Magic feature, you can target one creature within 30 feet of you and try to use theirs. The creature must succeed on a CON saving throw against your spell save, or be dealt the damage from your usage of said feature.
