You work with water and other liquids, pushing them around and pumping them to places they need to go, like the faces of your enemies!

Tool Proficiency

3rd-level Hydroneer feature

You gain proficiency with brewer’s supplies. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

3rd-level Hydroneer feature

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Hydroneer Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Water Pump

3rd-level Hydroneer feature

Whenever you have enough water, you can shoot it out via 4 different nozzles, either covering your enemies in water or shooting them farther away, or off a cliff.  You can only push enemies half as far for all sizes after large, and twice as far for small and tiny. (e.g. 30ft - tiny & small, 15ft - medium & large, 5ft - huge, 0ft - Everything above huge)

Each round you can use an action to spray water at a target, from that target to yourself, the ground is dowsed in water and becomes difficult terrain. You can do this 5 times per water tank refill. One shot is also about 2 potions worth of water.

Pump Nozzles

d4 Effect

1

Full. Can shoot a deadly stream of water 35ft and push creatures 20ft until the creature is 35ft away from the user, but does not create difficult terrain on the ground.

Mist. Can only shoot a light mist of water 10ft and can't push enemies back, but can cover an area of 10 by 10ft.

Shower. Can shoot an average stream of water 30ft and push creatures 15ft until the creature is 30ft away from the user.

Soaker. Can shoot buckets of water in an area of 5x10ft. Instead of creating difficult terrain on this ground, this area is effectively under the effect of the grease spell. It can push creatures 5ft until the creature is 10ft away from the user.

Throwable Pump

5th-level Hydroneer feature

You can now throw a powerful water pump to a point 10ft or less away from you. This water pump then pushes creatures 10ft away from it if they are less than 10ft from it, until they are 10ft away from it. This happens at the end of your turn. Any space in a circle radius of 10ft centered on the pump is now difficult terrain. 

More nozzles

9th-level Hydroneer feature

You unlock 4 more nozzles to use with your water pump. They aren't necessarily better than the other nozzles, but unlock completely new abilities and specialties.  There is also an increase in water pressure, allowing for farther enemy displacement. (e.g. 45ft - tiny & small, 15ft - medium & large, 10ft - huge, 0ft - Everything above huge.

D4 EFFECT

1

Jet. Can shoot a deadly stream of water 40ft and push creatures 30ft until the creature is 40ft away from the user, but does not create difficult terrain on the ground.

Flat. Can shoot a large line of water 15ft and can't push enemies back, and can create an area of difficult terrain 15 by 15ft.

Cone. Can shoot an average stream of water 35ft and push creatures 20ft until the creature is 35ft away from the user.

Blaster. Can shoot gallons of water in an area of 25x35ft. Instead of creating difficult terrain on this ground, this area is effectively under the effect of the grease spell. It can push creatures 15ft until the creature is 35ft away from the user.

Pressure Critical

15th-level Hydroneer feature

You can now detonate the throwable water pump as a bonus action if you are standing less than 25ft away from it. This water pump then pushes creatures within 10ft of the pump 50ft away from it. This happens at the end of your turn and the pump is destroyed. Creatures standing within 10ft of it when the pump blows up have to make a dexterity saving throw equal to your spell save DC or be knocked prone.

Critical Pressure. Can shoot a deadly stream of water 60ft and push creatures 10ft until the creature is 60ft away from the user, but does not create difficult terrain on the ground. It also does 8d10 force damage if you hit the target's AC on an attack roll using their dexterity bonus.
