Base Class: Druid
It started when a magical device did what it did. It stuck itself upon your wrist with secrets that it hid. Now you’ve got freaky powers you’re no ordinary kid.
By chance, you have stumbled upon a powerful artifact called the "Omnitrix". It is shaped like a bracelet or wristband and made of a strange material you've never seen before. When you went to inspect it, it latched into your wrist and will not come off no matter what you do. You discovered that this device allows you to change into different forms.
Omnitrix Transformations
2nd Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
The Omnitrix grants you the ability to transform into intelligent creatures. Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Omnitrix to Wild Shape into a creature with a challenge rating as high as 1 (you ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there). The creature must have an intelligence of at least 4 and must not be undead nor a construct.
You can only have 10 forms selected to change into at a time. When taking a long rest, you can recalibrate and choose 10 out of your scanned creatures to be your forms.
Your transformations last for 10 minutes you cannot change back until you time out. After timing out, the Omnitrix must be on cooldown for at least 1 hour before being used again.
The Omnitrix is activated by touch or through verbal command, you must either be free to speak or have 1 hand free to transform.
The Omnitrix cannot be removed by any means.
Unless overruled by these abilities, all of the regular rules of Wild Shape apply.
At 10th level, your transformation cooldown becomes 10 minutes instead of 1 hour.
At 20th level, your transformation cooldown becomes 10 seconds (2 rounds for combat purposes).
Transformation Abilities
2nd level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
When transformed, you can cast spells from a creature's innate spellcasting ability, but not from a creature's general spellcasting ability. There are limitations to this innate spellcasting. You can cast one innate above 1st level spell, after you have done this you cannot do it again with that transformation until you have completed a long rest. After that, any innate spells you cast above 1st level use your spell slots. Innate cantrips and spells at 1st level are used as the creature would. When using a creature's innate spellcasting you use the creature's spell attack and DC.
You do not gain any weapons when transforming into a creature, so you cannot use their weapon attack abilities. However, you can pick up a weapon and use it if your transformation would have the ability to do so. You keep your own weapon proficiencies instead of the creature's.
Uses of limited abilities are carried over even if you switch out and then back into a form. For example, if you use a spell or ability that can only be used once a day, you do not regain use of it if you change out of that form and transform back into it on the same day.
Starting Forms
2nd Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
When you found the Omnitrix, it had 10 forms unlocked for you to use. baboon, blink dog, dretch, dryad, giant weasel, magmin, quasit, rust monster, satyr, and worg
Creature Scan
2nd Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
The Omnitrix can scan creatures and use that data to grant you more transformations. Starting at 2nd level, when you are within 5 feet of a new species of creature, you can use a bonus action to scan them and add their data to the Omnitrix. You will then have that creature available to select during your next long rest if meets the requirements of your CR limit. If not, then it will be locked until you reach that CR limit.
Scanning a creature adds all aged forms of it to the database. For example, if you scan an adult white dragon, then young white dragon and ancient white dragon will also be added to the database.
You cannot scan or turn into a creature that is too closely related to your own species. For example, if you are a human, you cannot scan or transform into a half-human half-ef.
This ability also functions while you are transformed.
Quick Change
3rd Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to use change the form of your transformation on your turn as a bonus action. You must have one limb free to touch the Omnitrix to use this ability. Whenever you use this ability, you lose 1 minute of your transformation time limit.
The number of hit points in your new form stays the same as your previous form if it would add more hit points to the new form. For example, if you had 10 hit points in your form and then quick change to another form that usually has 20 hit points, you would have 10 hit points instead. If you had 10 hit points in your form and then quick change to a form that usually has 5 hit points, you would have 5 hit points.
Failsafe
6th Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
The Omnitrix is designed to keep its bearer from dying. If you were about to be instantly killed without death-saving throws, you are instead reduced to 0 hit points and roll death-saving throws as normal. If this death would be caused by an ability score being brought to 0 that ability score is instead brought to 1. If this death would be caused by 6 points of exhaustion, reduce exhaustion to 5. If this death would be caused by your max hit points being reduced to 0, your max hit points are instead brought to 1. If this death would be caused by disintegration, your body is not disintegrated. This failsafe ability causes the Omnitrix to need to recharge and cannot be used again until you have completed a long rest.
When you are forced to make death-saving throws as a result of being reduced to 0 hit points, you have advantage on those saving throws. This ability is automatically used when you are first forced to make a death-saving throw. This failsafe ability causes the Omnitrix to need to recharge and cannot be used again until you have completed a long rest.
Either of these abilities can be used while waiting for your transformation cooldown, but they cannot be used when recharging from failsafe abilities. You cannot use both failsafe abilities at the same time.
You cannot transform while the Omnitrix is recharging.
You are also immune to being possessed.
Increased Omnitrix Transformations
6th Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
You have begun to bond with the Omnitrix more and have unlocked more options. Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a creature with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 5, rounded down.
Overclock
10th Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
At 10th level, you can expend two uses of Wild Shape at the same time to transform into a creature with a CR of 1.5 times your current CR limit rounded down. If you use quick change, you can only change into forms that have your regular CR limit, not your overclocked limit. When using this ability, your time limit is split in half. Once you time out, your transformation cooldown time becomes double the normal amount until you take a short or long rest. Once you use this ability you cannot use it again until you take a long rest.
Master Control
14th Level Circle of The Omnitrix ability
By 14th level, you have begun to master the power of the Omnitrix. You have unlocked a mode in the Omnitrix called "Master Control". This mode lasts for a number of minutes equal to 10 times your druid level. After you use this ability, the Omnitrix must go on cooldown and cannot be used to transform until you have completed a long rest.
In this mode, you gain the following effects:
-Your transformations can last for as long as this mode is activated. You can deactivate this mode at will.
-You have access to all of the creature transformations stored in the Omnitrix that meet your CR requirements instead of just 10.
-You can transform and quick change using your mind instead of speaking a command or touching the Omnitrix
-You can use quick change at will instead of as a bonus action
-Using quick-change in this mode shaves 10 minutes off your Master Control time with each use.
-You can transform into your normal self as part of a quick change without deactivating Master Control.
