Base Class: Rogue
Lady Luck smiles upon you but like all gentlemen you do not rely solely upon her. You have quick hands and quicker wits. Like a gambler you can bluff your way out of any situation and when you fight it is a performance, a show you put on to display your prowess of the cards you wield. Some call what you do magic, you call it a trick, why can it not be both?
Those of this archetype have gained a master of cards beyond what you typically see but like all professionals they had to practice to get where they're at now. The majority of this subclass starts out as gamblers and armature magicians.
Deck of Cards
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level Whenever you finish a long rest you can touch a deck of 25 cards or less and mystically channel your will through these cards (call this your Mystic Deck). You can do the following with the cards from the mystic deck (cards can be collected during/after a battle and reused if undamaged, up to DM's discretion):
You have proficiency with cards as a weapon and use dexterity for attack and damage rolls for throwing cards.
Cards have a d4 damage die of slashing damage. Along with the property of finesse, light and a range of (0/60).
Mystic card attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage.
you can locate all your mystically channeled cards and know what cards they are, wherever you are until you renew your Mystic Deck
(when channeling new cards all previous cards loose these affects)
Calling Card
At level 9 you start with a maximum of 5 KI points, at level 13 that maximum increases to 8 KI points and at level 17 the final maximum increases to 10 KI points. To use KI you must channel it through your Mystic Deck/Cards (if you have no Mystic cards you cannot use KI) the card(s) you channel through are then disintegrated and leaves a permanent imprint (your favourite card) on a solid surface within a short distance of you, you can channel your KI to do the following:
Call
''I must look to good to hit, that must be it''
you can spend 1 KI on your bonus action to make a Charisma (Performance) check contested by all target(s) Wisdom (Insight) checks, all targets your check wins against you receive advantage on your next attack against that target and your target(s) gets disadvantage on all attacks against you until your next attack (basically the hide action but you opponent still has a chance to hit you).
Fold
''Not my best hand, time to get out''
You can spend 2 KI points on your main action to cast the spell Misty Step. You must however have a card in the location you are teleporting to as well as a card on your person for the misty step to activate (you must make an attack action to place your card in the correct location, drop a card and move to teleport back to it or teleport to a previous card that missed an attack ), there is no silvery light when teleporting and line of sight is not required when teleporting.
Raise
''I know its a good hand, don't even need a look to know''
You can spend 3 KI points on your bonus action and you gain advantage on your next attack
you gain a maximum of 5 KI Points back on a short rest and all KI points back on a long rest.
A Reckless Gambit
At level 13 on your bonus action you can spend all your remaining KI points and super charge all the cards in your Mystic Deck, these cards now do 1D8 damage. This effect lasts until your next short or long rest. This affect disintegrates a minimum of 5 Mystic Cards more if you use this affect while you have more than 5 KI points.
Feeling Lucky?
At level 17 you can add a D4 dice role to any previous dice role, this must be done immediate after the first dice has been rolled. You can do this one per long rest.
