Base Class: Monk
Monks harness this power within themselves to create magical effects and exceed their bodies’ physical capabilities, and some of their special attacks can hinder the flow of ki in their opponents. Using this energy, monks channel uncanny speed and strength into their unarmed strikes. As they gain experience, their martial training and their mastery of ki give them more power over their bodies and the bodies of their foes.
Master of Ki
Starting when you choose this tradition at the 3rd level, you know the ability to use Flurry of Blows, Patient Defense, and Step of the Wind, without ki points(furry of blows can only be used once per turn).
Ki Restoration
Starting at 3rd level, as an action you can restore half of your ki points rounded down. You can do this a number of two times and restore all uses after a short or long rest.
Healing Ki
Starting at level 6th, you have mastered your Ki to help you cure your wounds. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your monk level.
Ki Enhanced Attacks
By level 11th, all of your melee attacks(weapons and unarmed attacks) are now infused with the energy of ki. Whenever you hit a creature with a melee attack, the creature takes an extra 1d8 force damage. You can spend 2 ki points to increase the damage by 1d8 to a max of 3d8.
Ki Manifestation
At 17th level, you have reached the peak of knowledge about ki. This knowledge lets you perform incredible actions and gain interesting abilities.
- You now can absorb the energy of other living creatures. Whenever you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you regain 2 Ki points.
- Your Ki is so powerful and filling you with its energy that you don't need to sleep. But to gain the benefits from the short and long rest you can spend all 4 or 8 hours doing light activity, such as meditating or keeping watch.
- You can spend 10 ki points to create a weapon made with your Ki that lasts until you die. You can choose the form that this melee weapon takes each time you create it (see the Monk Weapons section for weapon options, you can even make a gauntlet). You can reshape the weapon by spending another 5 ki points. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. It also adds an additional 1d8 to your enhanced strike damage (yes, now you do passive extra damage of 2d8 of force damage, and now you could have 4d8 of force damage). You can’t be disarmed of that weapon unless you are incapacitated. If it is on the same plane of existence, you can summon that weapon as a bonus action on your turn, causing it to teleport instantly to your hand. As a bonus action, you can also temporarily dismiss your Ki weapon, returning to your body as pure energy and you can cause it to reappear in your hand as a bonus action.
