Artificer
Base Class: Artificer

A Timekeeper specializes in using magic to manipulate time and infuse their own creations with such magic, rewinding time briefly when needed to fix small mistakes. The power to make an inevitability take a fraction of time longer, or to change the outcome of things, is extremely sought after by those wishing to change the world. The essence of Mechanus emboldens your ability to manipulate the weave, and create new possibilities that without you simply would not exist.

Tool Proficiency

3rd-level Timekeeper feature

You gain proficiency with weaver's tools. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Timekeeper Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Time March

3rd-level Timekeeper feature

You gain advantage on all initiative rolls. In addition, when targeting a creature with a melee attack, spell attack, or single target spell effect, you may use a free action to mark them. Choose an ability e.g. Wisdom. A marked creature must subtract your proficiency bonus from saving throws it makes using that ability until the start of your next turn. This feature is usable a number of times equal to your intelligence bonus per long rest.

At 9th Level, this becomes a short rest.

Temporal Foresight

5th-level Timekeeper feature

Immediately after the effects of your action have been determined you can use a reaction to undo that action, restarting your turn phase. This is usable a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. In addition, moving through nonmagical difficult terrain costs you no extra movement.

Accelerated Demise

9th-level Timekeeper feature

At 9th level, a creature marked with your Time March ability now has disadvantage on saving throws caused by your spells. You may now expend a use of your Time March ability to change the damage type of one of your spells to necrotic.

In addition, you gain resistance to necrotic damage.

Order of Mechanus

15th-level Timekeeper feature

You can cast time stop once per long rest. You ignore this spell's restrictions however no damage can be dealt while under the effects of this spell.

This can be used once per long rest.
