Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Lichdom allows a paladin to bend the rules of mortality to insure obedience, prolong life (or afterlife)and command legions of the undead to act as they see fit. Many refer to the Lichdom paladins as Death Kinghts, purveyors of both life and death. These acolytes of the undead are able to crush the strongest of foes with a single blow or are able to fell a whole army and raise them to do his bidding. They typically follow in the steps of Vekna and Vanrak Moonstar. These knights use their teachings to uphold the Oath of Lichdom and to punish those who stand in the way of their ascent to untapped power.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Lichdom Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.
Lichadian Curse. You can use your Channel Divinity to siphon the will of all who oppose your power . As an action, force chosen creatures within 30 ft. to make a WIS saving throw. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on saving throws against spells for 1 minute. The target is also considered vulnerable to necrotic damage for the duration (Immune targets become resistant, Resistant targets take normal damage). Creatures can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns
Soul Shred. You can use your Channel Divinity to strike with force enough to pierce one's soul. On your next melee attack, the target loses Armor Class equal to your proficiency bonus + Half of your CHA modifier (rounded down) and has their damage type resistance (Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing) removed until their next turn.
Aura of Phylactery
Starting at 7th level, the souls of your undead army dwell around you, creating an aura while you’re not incapacitated. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.
While you are conscious, all allied creatures within 10 ft. gain advantage on death saves and temporary health equal to Cha modifier + proficiency bonus. Refreshes at the beginning of combat.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet. Now, when an enemy breaks through the shield, they take the value of the shield as necrotic damage.
Master of Mortality
Starting at 15th level, your knowledge and grasp of the Dark Arts has allowed you to bend the rules of mortality.
You may cast a necromancy spell at its highest possible spell slot for free.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it until you have completed 1d4 long rests.
Licharian Awakening
At 20th level, you shed your mortal flesh and become a true disciple of lichdom. As an action, you can magically become an acolyte of the dark arts, gaining the following benefits for 1 minute:
- You gain a flying speed equal to half your walking speed
- Gain one use of the finger of death spell at 9th level
- Necrotic damage heals you instead of dealing damage and your aura grants allies 1d6 necrotic damage on hit
- If you were to take damage that would put you at or below 0 hp, you drain your phylactery, causing you to instantly regain half if your maximum hp and causing Licharaian Awakening to end. You cannot be healed past half of your max hp again until you take a long rest.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
