College of Throatsingers

The Throatsingers of Luin Alu are a tradition older than the kingdom itself. Forgoing the instruments they leaned on before, they let their voice echo the song of nature, calling out to the plants and rocks, reshaping them in new and beautiful ways. 

Throatsinging is a tradition in Luin Alu, one which dates back to the days before Airell and the Taking. Singers can often be heard in the valleys and at the tops of the Salt Cliffs, chanting traditional songs and tales for the world to hear and remember.

They are a pale comparison to the the Throatsingers of Jah. Hidden in the deep forests, the tunnels, and the caves, they commune with nature through the song of the world. Through their song they worship Jah, revelling in the balance of nature and the beauty of life's eternal circle.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Throatsingers at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the Animal Handling and Nature skills. You also gain proficiency with the herbalism kit.

Song of the World

Also at 3rd level, you begin to abandon the crutch of an instrument and allow the song of the world to echo through you and emit from your throat. You learn Druidic, the secret language of druids. You can speak the language and use it to leave hidden messages. You and others who know this language automatically spot such a message. Others spot the message’s presence with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check but can’t decipher it without magic.

In addition, you learn the druidcraft cantrip. It does not count towards the total number of cantrips you know. When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn a bard cantrip or a bard spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the druid spell list or the bard spell list. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting the spell, and it becomes a bard spell for you.

One With Nature

Starting at 6th level, your connection with nature begins to deepen. You can cast speak with animals at will. In addition you can cast locate animals or plants a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest.

When you reach 14th level, you can cast speak with plants at will, and conjure animals once per long rest.

Gifts of Jah

Starting at 14th level, you begin to be shape by the song you sing. You can cast barkskin on yourself at will, and you gain 60 feet of darkvision.
