Monk
Base Class: Monk

Some monks choose to learn the ways of shadow or star, or learn how to manipulate life and death in others, but you have a simple goal in your training, and that is to emulate the furor of the great monkeys. Monks of the Swaying Arms study the exorbitant grandeur of the monkeys and strive to imitate it in battle and their daily lives.

Expert Climbing

As a admirer of the agile monkey, you have learned their ways of tree hopping and wall climbing. You gain the ability to climb faster than normal; climbing no longer costs you extra movement. In addition, when you make a running jump, the distance you cover equals your Dexterity or Strength score (your choice). You can make long jumps in any direction, including straight up, as long as you move at least 10 feet in that direction before making the jump.

Prowess of the Chimp

As a bonus action, you can perform any of the following:

  • You can spend a ki point to howl in a creatures face. It must succeed on a Constitution saving throw, or be deafened until the end of your next turn. While deafened in this way, it becomes difficult to cast spells through sound. When the creature attempts to cast a spell with a verbal component, it must make a arcana check (DC equal to 10 plus the spell level) to cast it successfully. If it fails this check, the spell slot or ability is not wasted.
  • You can spend a ki point to bite one creature within melee range. It takes damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die, and must make a Strength saving throw or be grappled by you until you release the bite, or they break free. While a target is grappled in this way, you cannot speak.
  • You reach into a small satchel at your side and pull out your secret weapon: poo. You chuck it at a target within 60 feet. The target must make a Constitution saving throw, or be incapacitated retching and reeling until the end of your next turn. Creatures that cannot smell are immune to this effect.

Stone Gullet

Your regular consumption of unsafe foods has built up your tolerance to such things. You have advantage on saving throws against ingested poison, and resistance to poison damage caused by something you ate.

Gibbon Screech

As an action, you can spend a ki point to release a series of high pitched hollers, followed by an ungodly belch. Creatures you choose within 30 feet receive temporary hit points equal to your monk level plus your Charisma modifier; in addition, each creature you choose within 15 feet must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on all saving throws until the beginning of your next turn.

Presence of the Orangutan

You can harness your ki energy to embody the majestic Orangutan. As an action, you can spend a ki point to gain advantage on all Charisma ability checks

Harrying Scrapes

You steal your enemies attention with distracting strikes and screams. As a bonus action, you can spend a ki point to begin to harass an enemy within melee range until the start of your next turn. This effect ends early if you take a reaction. Anytime the creature targeted by this harry of blows attempts to cast a spell or make an attack against anyone other than you, they must make a concentration check against your Ki DC. If they fail, the spell slot is wasted or the attack automatically misses.

Fury of Blows

You embody the rage of a shrieking baboon. When you take the attack action, you can spend two ki points to make a fury of blows. You can make eight unarmed strikes on your action, but all of them are at disadvantage.
