Base Class: Bard
Storytellers are often forgotten amongst other more flashy and bombastic colleges, at least until one is sharing your campfire. These masters of wordplay can enthral, delight and inspire using nothing but their voices. Armies with a gifted storyteller in their camp on the eve of battle have gone on to fight like legends, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and in doing so, becoming the subject of the storyteller’s next epic tale.
Gift of the voice
At 3rd level you gain proficiency with your own voice and in performance, and history. Your voice may be used as a spell casting focus. You also learn the language, Talehand. This is a very quick way to take notes and write in broad ideas, feelings, and tropes for story writing. Although every Storyteller has their own style of Talehand, one storyteller's notes would be understood by another.
Are you sitting comfortably?
At level 6 you have learned how to capture the attention of a crowd. If you have the attention of a group of 2 or more people, for more than one minute, you can make a Charisma (Performance) check (DC DMs discretion). On a success the group is charmed by you for 10 minutes.
While charmed in this way the group will not take their focus off of you or move away from you. They will eagerly listen to every word you say.
Battle of wits
At 14th level your knowledge and mastery of stories has let you memorise the best insults from all of the great works. When you cast the vicious mockery cantrip the target takes the damage regardless of their saving throw. If they fail their save then they are stunned until the end of their next turn. In addition the damage increases to d6s instead of d4s.
