Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The tenets of the Oath of the Mired Lake have been carried out since time immemorial. This oath emphasizes the principles of their role within the Unseelie Court above any concerns the vessel may have. Its four central principles are simple.

Heed the Court. Despite your high position, you are still bound to your ruler. Follow their orders to the best of your capability.

Protect the Lake. The Mired Lake is your home and source of power. Dispatch of interlopers lest you be stripped of your powers.

Sate Thy Hunger. Draw victims to the Mired Lake. The Mired Lake requires the sacrifice of those that are not fey each moon.

Retain Control. Losing your head is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Remain calm, even in scenarios of elevated emotion and abnormal anxiety.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Kelpie Form. As an action, you can change to your true form, that of a kelpie, using your Channel Divinity. For 1 minute, or until the temporary health (6 per level + proficiency modifier) gained from feature is lost, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. While in this form, you can not cast spells or hold concentration, but gain access to a Bite that can grapple (escape DC 15) a target they bite.

Command the Court. As an action, you proclaim your authority, speaking a command to creatures of your choice, using your Channel Divinity. Each creature that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Charisma saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is under the effect of the command spell.

A creature must spend its turns trying to execute the command given, and it can’t willingly act in a hostile manner until the command is complete or takes damage from any source.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of Devotion Spells

Commanding Aura

Starting at 7th level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you that are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a saving throw, you instead take no damage or effect if you succeed on the saving throw while you are conscious.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Royal Rebuke

You've learned how to vocalize your ire to anyone that would dare stand against you and your own. Whenever you or a creature you can see within 30 feet of you succeeds on a saving throw, you can use your reaction to deal 2d8 + your Charisma modifier force damage to the creature that forced the saving throw.

Wrath of the Kelpie

At 20th level, while the Kelpie Form Channel Divinity is active, you may cast spells and hold concentration. In addition, you have advantage of saving throws to maintain concentration.
