Base Class: Barbarian
Growing up in a tribe of Dragon caretakers whose society revolves around their beloved Brass Dragon Bryn'Wyr and her Gold Dragon offspring Mowgli. This lifelong spiritual attunement these Dragons bestows gifts to the adventurous and faithful.
Breath Weapon
Starting at 3rd Level, while Raging, Fire Breath Weapon - 15 ft. cone (Dex. Save) 2d8 fire or half on a Save success.
Can be used once per Long Rest. Save DC = 8 + Constitution Modifier + Proficiency Bonus.
At 6th Level 3d8, 10th Level 4d8, 14th Level 5d8.
Draconic Language
At 3rd Level, if you've found a teacher, you learn to speak, read, and write Draconic.
Dragon Scales
Starting at 6th Level, while Raging, golden scales shimmer over the surface of the skin, giving AC +1 and Resistance to Fire.
At 10th Level AC +2, 14th Level AC +3
Spirit Guide
Starting at 10th Level, as a Ritual, you can cast Commune with Nature to speak with your Dragon partner and gain their spiritual support. The extent of which is determined by the GM.
Gleeful Flight
Starting at 14th Level, while Raging, translucent golden wings burst from your back, allowing 30 ft. of flying. If on foot movement is greater, can run the difference as well as Fly.

Posted Aug 10, 2026This was very similar to an idea I had. I love your description. Mine was for a dwarven character, inspired by shared love of gold and mountains, and generally being of good alignment.
In mine the breathe weapon was to cause disadvantage on attacks and at 10th level they would get legendary resistance that would allow them to succeed on a failed saving throw once per day.
Have you had the opportunity to play a character with this? I am still in process of creating the path. I was wondering if you found any problems with the abilities.
