Base Class: Monk
Monks who study the Way of Beast’s Fury devote their lives to learning from the combat found in nature. Often studying in solitary or within small enclaves, these monks learn to switch between three animal stances that make them extremely adaptable in any given combat situation. Your animal stances might be an animal related to those listed here but more appropriate to your homeland. For example, you could choose a tiger or bear in place of a wolf.
Animalistic Adept
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in either animal handling or nature.
As a bonus action you can switch between 3 animal stances. While in each stance, you gain a unique benefit depending on your current stance:
Python
- Dexterous Grapple: You may use a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check instead of a Strength (Athletics) check when attempting to grapple a creature. Your movement speed is not halved while grappling.
Wolf
- Thrill of the Hunt: When you use Step of the Wind to perform the Dash action, you do not provoke opportunity attacks on that turn.
Monkey
- Primate Agility: Your unarmored defense increases your AC by 2.
Nature's Disciple
At 6 level, you can better leverage the hidden strengths of the three stances to enhance your combat expertise, gaining additional benefits depending on your current stance:
Python
- Constrict: At the end of each of your turns, you can deal bludgeoning damage equal to your Martial Arts die to each creature grappled by you. You gain advantage on attack rolls against a target you’re grappling.
Wolf
- Savage Takedown: When you hit a creature with an attack of opportunity, it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone. The save DC is equal to your Ki Save DC.
Monkey
- Dizzying Palm: Creatures hit with flurry of blows have disadvantage on attacks against you until your next turn.
Bestial Warrior
At 11 level, your mastery of the Natural Order allows you to further adapt and control the battlefield, gaining additional benefits depending on your current stance:
Python
- Grasping Strike: Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, if you have a free hand you can attempt to grapple it. It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be grappled.
Wolf
- Fearsome Howl: As an action, you can spend 2 Ki to unleash a primal roar forcing each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw. A target automatically succeeds on the save if it can’t hear or see you. On a failed save, a target spends its next turn moving away from you by the fastest available means. If a target's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to Fearsome Howl for the next 24 hours.
Monkey
- Impish Reflexes: You can’t be surprised while you are conscious. Once when you roll initiative, you may spend 2 Ki points to force a creature you can see to reroll their initiative. You may force them to take the higher or lower roll.
One With Nature
At 17th level your mastery of the three stances is unparalleled, allowing you to effortlessly switch between them. You can switch between forms without using a bonus action once per turn.
