Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

A leading commander charges head first followed by a group of revolutionists into a corrupted capital. A young teenager sets fire to the town that banned them due to bigoted law. An elderly speaker paves way to freethinking by speaking out against crimes committed by the people in power knowing well the risks. Paladins that belong to the oath of riot work for good while countering law. They prioritize the people and communities they come from. Looking into the face of powerful establishments, they swear to smite open the rotten underbelly if it ever dares to make itself known. Paladins of this oath embrace chaos and destruction if it means bringing a better world for the future generations or directly fighting against what they first knew to be authority.

Tenets of the Riot:
Retribution- If a collection of people are harmed by the ways of those in power or the systems set up by these people, the victims must be fought for until they have equal if not a greater quality of life than those who took it away
Equity- You must be alert and unbiased. Corruption can drop its ugly seeds of segregation in any place of the world. Once you perceive it you must detach from any past relations you had connected to it and work to solve or defeat it.
Commonwealth- Even if an entire country must fall, or if someone you used to hold dearly must die. You need to reap the greater good through embracing the struggles that must come before it. Set fire to the industry, assassinate the Mal intent filled leaders even if the people don’t know their true colors, change is extreme, but absolutely necessary if civil means won’t work.
Restoration- After change is made and battles are fought it is of mass importance to restore broken civilizations and communities. To uplift and empower those who got the shorter end of the stick through the fight for commonweal. And to educate the youth and future generations right from wrong. Making the history well accessible and known as so history does not repeat itself.

Unarmored Defense

Beginning at 3rd level, while you are wearing no armor, your AC = 10 + your dexterity modifier + your charisma modifier this can be applied with a shield

Grassroots’ Guidance

You can use your Channel Divinity to invest your presence with the bold and brash of your faith. As an action, you can choose a number of creatures you can see within 30 feet of you, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one creature). For 1 minute, you and the chosen creatures have advantage on Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution saving throws.

Incite Violence

As a bonus action, using your channel divinity you and allies can stand against the rule of one creature within 30 feet of you. This chosen target must make a wisdom saving throw against your Paladin spell save. On a failed save for 1 minute the creature must make another wisdom save every time they attempt to move more than 30 feet away from you. Additionally, they have disadvantage against attack roles on creatures other than you. You can select a number of allies up to your proficiency bonus, these allies can impose a penalty on attack roles if they get within melee range equal to how many of them get that close. If the target passes the original save they suffer no affects. If the target is harmed by a creature other than you or chosen allies, the effect drops.

Aura of Integrity

Starting at 7th level, your connection and dedication to the people allows you to shield them from harms way. When an enemy hits you or allies within 10ft of you, as a reaction you can grant an AC boost equal to your charisma bonus to the victim that lasts until the end of the attackers turn, potentially deflecting the hits if it raises the AC above the enemies attack roles. (This range increases to 30ft at 18th level)

Warrior of Tolerance

Beginning at 15th level your undying desire for equality among the world allows you to weaken the defenses of those that stand in your way. As a bonus action you can target an opponent with damage resistance or immunity (resistance drops to none, immunity drops to resistance) and until the start of your next turn these innate defenses lower. Allowing your attacks to strike true. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, your charges return after a long rest.

Rebellious Atmosphere

As a capstone for this subclass, starting at this level you can manifest your drive for mutiny and inspire the allies around you. For 1 minute the following benefits are yours to reap:

  • You radiate Pack Tactics for you and allies for 30ft
  • You gain resistance to piercing, bludgeoning, and slashing damage
  • Your movements don’t provoke opportunity attacks

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest or use a 5th level spell slot to do it again.
