Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Elements listen to the primordial echoes that resonate from the elemental planes. Twisting these echoes, these bards can control elemental forces and imbue their magic with them. Though these are most often used as tools for destruction, so too can they be strung together to create and shape the natural world as the bard sees fit.

Elementalist

When you join the College of Elements at 3rd level, your attunement to the elements allows you to manipulate them. You learn the Control Flames, Gust, Mold Earth and Shape Water cantrips. These cantrips don't count against the number of bard cantrips you know.

Elemental Imbuement

At 3rd level, you learn to infuse your magic with elemental energy. When you cast a damaging spell, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and choose a damage type from the Elemental Force table. Roll the Bardic Inspiration die, adding the result to the damage dealt by the spell as the chosen damage type and applying the corresponding Imbuement.

If the Imbuement requires a saving throw, the DC equals your spell save DC.

Elemental Force
Damage Type Imbuement
Acid The target has disadvantage on the next ability check it makes before the end of its next turn.
Cold The target's speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
Fire The target takes an additional 1d4 fire damage at the start of it's next turn.
Lightning The target can't take reactions until the start of its next turn.
Poison The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on the next attack it makes before the end of its next turn.
Thunder  The target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target is pushed 10 feet away from you.

Song of Destruction

At 6th level, you gain greater control over the destructive forces of nature. You learn the spells Erupting Earth and Tidal Wave, and can cast them once each at their lowest level. Once you cast a spell with this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of the appropriate level.

These chosen spells count as bard spells for you but don't count against the number of bard spells you know.

Primordial Mastery

At 14th level, your mastery over the elements allows you to combine and twist them into your spells. Whenever you use your Elemental Imbuement feature, you can instead choose two elements from the table.

Additionally, as a reaction when a creature you can see casts a damaging spell, you can choose one elemental damage type and impart it's Imbuement effect from the Elemental Force table onto that spell (you do not expend a use of bardic inspiration or roll a bardic inspiration die when using this reaction.)
