*These flavor text of these spells change to reflect shadows instead of their normal version (e.g., shadowy weapon instead of spectral, swirling shadows instead of spirits). If necrotic, or psychic damage is an option for a damage type, one of those must be selected
**You summon a medium, or large Shadow Mastiff that replaces its normal creature type with fiend.
Tainted by Shadow
Starting at 1st level, your connection to Shadowfell allows you to blend in with the shadows and quicken your reflexes. You gain proficiency with stealth and sleight of hand skills and may add your Charisma modifier to such checks. You also gain proficiency with shortswords, hand crossbows and rapiers.
When you attack with that weapon that has the light, finesse or [Tooltip Not Found] property, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, this benefit extends to every pact weapon you conjure with that feature, no matter the weapon’s type.
Umbral Reach
At 1st level, you may use a bonus action to reach through shadows and temporarily occupy a different location. Choose an unoccupied location you can see within 60 feet that is in darkness, dim-light or adjacent to a creature or object. Until the end of your next turn, you may act as if you occupied that space when performing ability checks, interacting with objects or performing the [Tooltip Not Found] action.
Shadowmerge
At 6th level, you gain the ability to merge with your own shadow. As a bonus action, your body merges with your shadow. While merged, you gain the effects of spider climb and may take the [Tooltip Not Found] action as a bonus action if you are in dim light or darkness. You have advantage on stealth checks and you may occupy the same space as other creatures with no penalty. You can move through spaces as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing, but you can still be attacked as normal. You may use your action only to Dash, Disengage, Dodge, Help, Hide, or Search. As an action, you may return to normal. If you return to normal in the same space as another creature, you take shape in the nearest unoccupied space.
Shadowweaving
Starting at 10th level, when you finish a short or long rest choose one damage type: psychic, necrotic, or cold. You gain resistance to that type of damage until you choose a different one with this feature.
In addition, you may cast a spell while your Shadowmerge or Umbral Reach features are active, using the appropriate action for the spell. When you cast a spell this way, all targets have disadvantage on their saving throw against the spell this turn. All damage done by the spell is replaced with the damage type you chose for your resistance. You may choose to end your Shadowmerge as part of casting the spell.
Once you have used this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
Create Duplicate
At 14th level, you gain the ability to weave the threads of Shadowfell to bring life to a creature's shadow. You can use your action to touch a humanoid and separate them from their shadow. Their shadow takes physical form that is identical to the creature and has the creature's memories. You can communicate telepathically with the shadow as long as the two of you are on the same plane of existence. The shadow is charmed by you until a dispel magic spell is cast on it, a remove curse is cast on the creature, you use this feature again, or end it (no action required).
If you use this on yourself, you cannot use your Shadowmerge feature while this feature is active, but your shadow can and you can see through its eyes. When you use your shadowweaving feature to cast a spell, you may use your shadow as the source of the spell.
