Base Class: Monk
While most monks hone their abilities through years of strict discipline and practisec other find less onerous ways of developing their craft. Monks of the Way of Brutality are mean and love to fight dirty.
This is a direct transfer of the Monk tradition as appears in the AL created Knucklefish and other such Curiosities.
Dirty Fighting
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn to fight dirty. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
- It must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked blinded until the end of your next turn.
- It must make a Strength saving throw. If it fails, it's speed is reduced to 5ft until the end of your next turn.
- It must succeed on a Constitution saving through, if it fails it cannot breath or vocalise until the end of your next turn.
Alternatively, you can use your Flurry of Blows to make a ranged weapon attack against a target within 30ft with an improvised weapon - such as a mug of ale, a chair, or any other similiarly sized object you can reach. The attack uses your Martial Arts die for damage, regardless of what you attack with.
Frightful Presence
At 6th level, you gain the ability to unsettle or terrify those around you as an action. When you take this action, each creature within 30 feet of you that can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
Brutal Blows
Beginning at 11th level, you learn to place your blows for maximum effect. When you hit a creature with an attack granted by your Flurry of Blows, the attack deals an additional die of damage.
Reactive Flurry
At 17th level, when a creature provokes an oppertunity attack from you, you can use your Flurry of Blows as a reaction
