Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The Calling:

Offenders of Nemsia shall know the wrath of her Great Resentment. Once the goddess has chosen a target, they shall see a vision of the Great Nemsia marking them with a holy light that can only be perceived by the Knights of Nemsia. The Knights shall know their exact whereabouts no matter what realm they choose to hide in and once the target has been marked, the Knights will hear "The Calling" and know that it is their duty to slay the target of Nemsia's choosing. Once the target has been marked, it is not uncommon for them to have hallucinations of the famously cloaked and blindfolded knights.

Notes for DMs: (This subclass is designed to be powerful and legendary note that if the party or a party member is ever marked by Nemsia,  make sure they are aware that they NEED to take the calling seriously and that they will need to be cunning in order to survive an encounter with the Knights of Nemsia. If a player wants to play as a KoN note that if they ever hear the calling, they will have to respect it and slay the target at all cost otherwise, they will lose their blindsight and their spellcasting abilities. In those cases, it is allowed for them to pick up a non-spell casting subclass. Multiclassing is up to the DMs discretion. Nemsia generally frowns on Warlocks and Tainted Bloods (Sorcerers), but exceptions can be made if it makes sense for the character.)

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells.

Cantrips

You learn three cantrips: These cantrips are decided among the many blessed to you by Nemsia. At the 10th level, you can choose another cantrip.

Spell Slots

The KoN Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell charm person and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast charm person using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level KoN spells of your choice.

The Spells Known column of the KoN Spellcasting table shows when you learn more KoN spells of 1st level or higher.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the KoN spells you know with another spell of your choice from the KoN spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability

Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your KoN spells, since you learn your spells through the blessings of Nemsia. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Blessing of Nemsia

Starting at 3rd level, Gain Blindsight (60 ft), but lose your ability to see. All other forms of perception are not affected. This blindsight is based on a holy aura the KoN displays and the aura itself can be detected through magical means. The aura goes through full cover, and can only be prevented through magical means. Magical darkness does not affect the holy aura. Note that if one loses favor with Nemsia the blindsight is lost, and their vision is not returned.

Starting at level 3, whenever you successfully hit with a melee weapon, you may choose to expend a single spell slot. Doing so will deal additional radiant damage on the attack. The amount of damage for a 1st-level spell slot is 2d8. Using Divine Smite with a higher-level spell slot increased the damage by 1d8 per level to a maximum of 5d8. If the target is a fiend or undead the damage is increased by another 1d8 to a maximum of 6d8.

Nemsia's Divine Terror

Nemsia's Divine Aura becomes visible as a beam of light between you and a selected target, revealing yourself, and halving their Armor Class in half. If the target was also marked by Nemsia's Calling, take half the armor class taken and put it on yourself. This lasts for three turns, if the opponent adds AC to themselves after the spell has been cast (i.e casts Shield), this ability will have no effect on the added AC. This beam of light goes through total cover and is visible in magical darkness. This ability is cast as a bonus action and can be cast once until the player completes a long rest.

Shroud of the Unknown Wanderer

Starting at the 13th, level, a veil of shadows and silence covers you, masking you from detection. You permanently have a +10 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks and can’t be tracked except by magical means. A creature that receives this bonus leaves behind no tracks or other traces of its passage. (Does not stack with Pass without Trace)

Blood Kin of The Goddess

At the 17th level, Nemsia has named you blood kin and grants you her blessing to slay any who go against you on your path.

"Your's is the way of our Truth, go forth show the restless true fear."

You can cast Nemsia's Divine Terror three times per long rest. plus you gain double the AC taken from the opponent no matter if they were the target of Nemsia's Calling or not. You no longer have to answer Nemsia's Calling if you no longer feel fit to do so.

Note: Nemsia shall look to you to lead her followers, and can still take the gifts bestowed to you if she feels you are no longer a beacon of her values.
