Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your innate magic comes from the power of elemental earth. Your power might trace back to the elemental plane itself, or perhaps it was awakened by becoming exposed to it. This magic gives you the power to control the very earth and change your body to become a whirlwind of sand, this power also gave you special attunement to the metals of the earth. You've mastered this attunement of metals by placing your magic into firearms, making yourself a force to be reckoned with. Many of these gunslingers have gained titles in the old west, such as devils and desperados.

Wild, Wild Weave Campaign Setting

Badlander

1st-level Dust Devil feature

You gain proficiency with firearms and you can use any firearm as an arcane focus to cast your sorcerer spells through. Additionally, when you make an ranged attack with a firearm you can magically charge your attack. You can expend a 1st-level spell slot when you hit with the attack, dealing an additional 1d8 damage of the weapon type.

You can expend spell slots of a higher level, increasing the damage by 1d8 for each spell slot above 1st-level.

Sand Slip

1st-level Dust Devil feature

You can use a bonus action on your turn to cause sand to briefly whirl around you obscuring yourself from harm, immediately after you cast a spell of 1st level or higher. The sand lasts until the start of your next turn, while the sand persists attacks that target you are made with disadvantage.

Arcane Desperado

6th-level Dust Devil feature

When you use an action to make a single target ranged spell attack, you can immediately use a bonus action to make a ranged weapon attack with a firearm you're holding. Additionally, you may expend 1 sorcerer point to magically reload a firearm after you cast a spell.

Sand Armor

6th-level Dust Devil feature

You gain the ability to conjure sand to form a thin protective barrier on your body, the sand doesn't change your outward appearance unless you choose to. You gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Devil of the Dunes

14th-level Dust Devil feature

You alter your body to become elemental earth, allowing you to move as one through it. As a bonus action, your body becomes sand like, giving you the following features until you dismiss this effect as a bonus action on your turn.

  • You gain a burrow speed equal to your movement speed. This speed cannot be used to move through worked stone.
  • You can move through spaces as small as 1 inch, but your movement speed is halved while moving in this way.

Spell Bullet

18th-level Dust Devil feature

When you take a long rest you can magically imbue a single round of ammunition for a firearm with a spell. You spend a number of hours equal to the spells level performing a ritual, the ammunition must be within your reach throughout the ritual, at the completion of the ritual the spell slot is expended and stored inside the ammunition. The ammunition becomes a tiny magical object called a Spell Bullet and remains until you use this feature to imbue another piece of ammunition with a spell or the spell is expended from the ammunition.

To use the spell bullet, you must declare that it has been loaded into a firearm. The next time you use an action to make a ranged attack using the firearm loaded with a spell bullet, the spell is instantly cast and the ammunition is destroyed. The spell acts as if you had cast it, but does not use a spell slot when triggered this way.
