Druid
Base Class: Druid

Your fascination with a certain bread of monstrosities, and the way they use their shapeshifting, has led you down a path that allows you to mimic the Mimic.  Learn to take the form of inanimate objects to catch your opponents off guard and freely shift your form in combat.

Pseudo Polymorph

2nd-level Circle of the Mimic feature:

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the ability to alter your form the same way that a mimic does.  As an Action, you may expend a use of your Wild Shape to activate your Pseudo Polymorph.  You take on the shape of a medium or small sized object, gain a number of Temporary Hit Points equal to 4 times your Druid level and your AC becomes 13.  The Pseudo Polymorph lasts for 1 hour and will end when you lose the Temporary Hit Points, become incapacitated, become unconscious or by ending it with a Bonus Action.  In this transformation you will have mouth and limbs equal to what you had immediately prior to activation your Pseudo Polymorph; you choose what part of the object they are but they must be roughly to what they were before.  If your vertical orientation changes by more than 90 degrees you will be prone when this transformation ends.  (e.g. if you have transformed into a chair and are nocked onto its side).

When transformed you are indistinguishable from an ordinary object so long as you remain motionless.  Your ability scores do not change in this transformation.  If you  attempt to transform into a specific unique object, you must have studied the likeness of the object for 1 minute prior to transforming.  If you do not, any creature familiar with that specific unique object, with a Passive Perception score of 14 or more can immediately discern the falsehood within 20 feet of you.  Other creatures can discern the falsehood after being within 10 feet of you for 10 cumulative minutes if you are not behind cover.  Creatures with Truesight immediately discern your true form when observing you.

Your limbs retain the same reach and the same damage as you have outside of your transformed state.  All equipment and items you are wearing, carrying or holding are merged into your form and cannot be used or grant benefits until your Pseudo Polymorph ends.  Any armor and shield you were wearing must be donned again after the form ends.

You cannot cast spells that require material components while in your Pseudo Polymorph transformation.  You can continue to concentrate on a spell cast prior to your transformation.  You are not affected by spells that alter your appearance while transformed.

You cannot use your Wild Shape, including to take on a new Psuedo Polymorph transformation, until you end your Psuedo Polymorph.

Ways of the Mimic

2nd-level Circle of the Mimic feature:

Circle Spells

Following the way of the Mimic has left you with the ability to cast certain spells at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th levels of this class.

Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
