Base Class: Sorcerer
Some sorcerers first discover the innate magical abilities of their long lost bloodline during the dire stress at the frontlines of conflict: When the ground is soiled by rotting bodies and every second could be the last. When fauna seems to be gasping for a ray of sunlight through the smoke and canon fire, you feel it within. – As a Blightblade, you have the innate ability to absorb the adrenaline and chaos of the battlefield, and wield it into a force of blight against your opponents.
Training in War
When you adopt this tradition at 1st level, you gain proficiency with medium armor, and you gain proficiency with one type of melee weapon of your choice and shields.
Drain Strike
Starting at 1st level, you can use an action to coat your melee weapon in a force of defiling energy and turn it into a source of vitality.
On a hit, the targets AC is reduced by 1, and you gain temporary HP equal to your charisma modifier + your sorcerer level. This effect lasts until the end of your next turn.
Extra Attack
Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.
Blighted Presence
At 14th level, your physical form begins to show effects of the corruption you drain from your enemies, tracing blackened veins across your greying skin, while your eyes turn sickening yellow and nails turn black. Around you, the ground dries out and vegetation withers. You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill (Charisma).
While you have temporary hit points from the Drain Strike cantrip, you emit a threatening aura around you in a10-foot radius centered on you. This aura lasts until you no longer have temporary hit points from the Drain Strike cantrip and moves with you.
When a creature inside the Aura makes its first attack against you, it has to succeed a Wisdom saving throw against your spell saving DC. On a fail, the target attacks with disadvantage.
Scion of Battlecry
Beginning at 18th level, you can channel the dread presence of the battlefield around you, and utilize it as a source of power for your attacks.
As an action, you can spend 5 sorcery points to draw on this power of fear and blight.
For 1 minute or until you lose your concentration, whenever a creature is reduced to 0 hit point within 60 feet of you, you can add 2d8 necrotic damage to your next attack, the attack roll is made with advantage.
