Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

With a dedication that is loosely based on dragons, the ideology of a Dragoon focuses far more on the incredible physical prowess of such creatures rather than worshiping the creatures themselves. To maintain this level of dedication, Dragoons spend huge amounts of time training and challenging themselves in various ways. While Dragoons can technically come from any moral and ethical system, most tend towards a lawful mindset as a way to reach the pinnacle of draconic physical prowess.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Jump. You can use your Channel Divinity to make a special jumping attack. As an action, you make an athletics check to jump to a target and make an attack. You can jump a distance equal to the athletics check, or to a height equal to half that distance, and this movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If the attack hits, you deal extra damage to the target equal to the total result of the athletics check.

Taunt. You can use your Channel Divinity to exude an intimidating presence. As an action, you force each creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you to make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, a creature becomes taunted by you for 1 minute. The taunted creature has disadvantage on attacks against anyone other than you. The taunted creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of the Dragoon Spells

Aura of Incitement

Starting at 7th level, if a creature within 10 feet is taunted by you, it cannot take reactions while in the aura, and that creature takes force damage equal to half your paladin level if it starts its turn there while you are conscious.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Lance Mastery

Starting at 15th level, your weapon attacks with polearms score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.

Draconic Blitz

At 20th level, your body is infused with pure draconic power. Using your action, you undergo a special transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your base movement speed increases by 20ft and your movement does not incur attacks of opportunity.
  • As a bonus action, you may make a special jump. Your jump height and jump distance is tripled and this jump doesn't count against your movement speed.
  • Your weapon attacks with polearms score a critical hit on a roll of 18-20.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
